Newt's fingers settle in Thomas' hair, and he stares at the side of his face. Wasting a vile of the cure like that would've been so thoughtless, but the words catch on his tongue and stay behind his teeth.

Get rid of that feeling of knowing Aris.After all, you've never met him before.
What about Aris's side?
He had escaped his maze only to be put on another mission before he could even blink.This one's worse than the others, but it's also more important.This meant he couldn't afford to be distracted or slip.Unfortunately, you still have the affect of making him want nothing more than to tell you everything.That's why he tries to be unbearably hateable or at the very least see you that way.
As he expected deep down it failed, and you were pulling him in again.The worst part is you don't even know, and you never will.
