Summary
From the height of power of the 18th Dynasty, the beginning of the New Kingdom in Ancient Egypt to the 20th Century. A power so great that it was contained as the Shadow Games. Though people play them for wealth and power, it was later molded to a game Duel Monsters. Due to the popularity, it paved the way for schools, new ways of dueling and different formats, as well as everlasting, even interdimensional bonds of friendship. This game changed lives for the better, and for the worse. Though this magic there has been a lot of threats of great evils, even today in the 21st Century. However, this game in particular, of mystery and magic, might well be the final hope, here at the end of all things.
All except for a pair of stars are all that remain now, the last energy sources fading from existence. Of all reality, no more possibilities to continue this timeline further. When these particular stars die out, all of the energy dies with it, with cold, the universe will fall silent for eternity. Yet something stirs as it seeks to change the future. Now a path is set, for a new group to stand up against a new set of evil, for the fates to give way to power, like this years graduates did for the last two years.....

Once, there were two kingdoms who lived in harmony with each other only for tragedy to tear it apart. There is the kingdom of Domino where their energetic and lively prince, Jaden Yuki, resides who is chilling out in his home with his friends, including his loyal protector, James who feels the most distance from everyone. In the deep seas resides the kingdom of Atlantis where its princess, Alexis, yearns to learn as much as she can about the surface with the support of Jesse and Aster. As fate would have it, they would find each other and triumph over the looming darkness of their kingdoms. -

Summary
As a child, Judai ran away from home before his memories were ever wiped and reunited with Yubel in Professor Cobra's care. He promised to never let anything separate them again, and spent his teen years in America as Cobra's second son.
Now in his final year of school, Judai returns to Japan to visit Duel Academia as the West campus's champion. He's got plans to have a good time and help his father make a statement at the central campus with the Disclosure Duel system, but he doesn't know that his spirit partner, still corrupted by the Light of Destruction, has plans of their own - and that several other people's agendas involve him and Yubel, too.
The two partners must let go of old illusions before they can look at each other with clear eyes and meet on the same page.
