Batman was standing directly in front of Robin when he looked up.
“That is unnecessary,” said Robin, “and for the record: creepy.”
“I see Jump City hasn’t changed your sense of humor,” said Batman.
Batman and Robin were standing on one of the cliffs in the batcave, one near the waterfall Robin had climbed through to get here. The exit into the mansion was a distance away, barely visible in the dim lighting of the place.
Robin sighed. It had been a few months now. Dick had left the mansion unannounced, leaving behind only a note to join the newly formed Titans. Robin didn’t really know what to say. Bruce was the one who had reached out to him, specifying that they meet in the batcave.
“So what is it?” asked Robin, “What’s so important that you needed to tell me here?”
“You need to return that suit,” said Batman.
“Something wrong with it?” asked Robin in concern.
“I don’t want you wearing it anymore.”

Eddie opens the door to see Buck leaning against the doorframe with his shoulders hunched down, his face scratched up, blood trickling down his temple and his lips. His glassy eyes are half open staring blank, his chest is rising and falling fast and shallow, and fuck, Buck looks like he is seconds away from collapsing.
"Buck, what the hell happened?!" Eddie asks, unable to hide the shock in his tone.
Buck opens his mouth to answer, but only a groan leaves his lips, and as he takes a step forward, his legs give out and his eyes roll back, collapsing directly into Eddie.

Easy quest conditions. No trauma required.”
Luo Binghe made a faint snuffling sound, unimpressed.
Shang Qinghua’s smile collapsed almost instantly. “Oh, gods, what am I saying?” He scrubbed a hand over his face, leaving another smear of drying blood. “I’m not qualified for this! I can barely keep myself alive half the time! You need—uh—you need a responsible, kindhearted woman from a humble background with good soup-making skills, not a chronically overworked peak lord-slash-spy!”
The baby responded by making a small, gurgling noise that sounded alarmingly like agreement.
“Don’t sass me,” Shang Qinghua muttered. “You’re, like, twelve minutes old.”

Hunter spit out blood at the guard’s boots and circled his jaw, shaking his head before he offered Omega a nod of reassurance. She whimpered at the sight of his bleeding lip, which was already split, and the bruising that had started to appear along his jawline. “It’s okay, kid. I can take it.”
“For now.” The masked man turned to face Omega, his hands crossed over his chest as if this was nothing more than a diplomatic exchange. It made her blood boil even more. “The better you are at answering our questions, the less he has to get hurt. Are we clear?”
The limits of both Hunter's and Omega's strength are tested when they're caught in the middle of a mission, forcing Omega to choose between keeping Hunter safe and exposing the rest of their squad.

Summary
