But yet the story gained popularity, infecting everyone with the intriguing stories of the hundreds on hundreds of levels and entities. From the very first “Level 0” to the Enigmatic levels like “Level ɑ (Alpha,)” hundreds of stories have been made up to explain (or to share) the scary stories people create to keep others on edge. Or maybe some guy was high and actually saw these things and thought they were real. That’s an option too.

This story uses the original concept of the Backrooms, as described in that very first greentext post. I will NOT be utilizing anything on the Backrooms Wiki. No entities, no levels. There will be parts of my Backrooms that look different to the original photograph, but in no way are these the same as the levels from the Backrooms Wiki. I hate that wiki, there's no quality control whatsoever, just slop all over the place. This story is borne of my love for liminal spaces.
