She was, if anything, overly excited to decorate the interior of their relatively new flat. Draco Malfoy had tried to have the conversation about potentially moving back into Malfoy Manor together, as it may potentially be their forever home in the future. But that conversation was quickly shut down. After realising how obvious the reasons as to why they shouldn’t move into that place, he quickly made a promise to himself that he would wait a couple of years until bringing it up again. He was an idiot.

Hermione Granger scurried around her central London flat, making sure she had everything packed into her suitcases before she ran out to stand on the kitchen balcony. Upon spotting the second chandelier dazzling and glistening near the first really confirmed how fucking fancy this particular room in Malfoy Manor was. Hermione knew that drawing-rooms were nice but had never been in one like this before, though thinking about it truly, Hermione hadn’t ever even been in a Manor before today. Hermione supposed that there was always a first for everything. Even if she was about to die today.
Hermione Granger was his favourite crime and yet, Draco Malfoy would never be enough.

During their sixth-year Gryffindor Quidditch "celebration", which was just the codename for what was basically a party, following the win helped by Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger bumps into a heavily drunk and emotional Draco Malfoy, who ends up accidentally letting loose about his task of killing Dumbledore and Hermione can't help but offer up her assistance to the panicking boy. She either is going to find a way for Dumbledore to avoid death, very unlikely in the long run or help to dull down the feeling of panic that was rippling throughout Draco's body.
And now, suddenly, it was the night of the dreaded Dumbledore murdering task and Draco has pulled Hermione into their favoured alcove near the Room of Requirement for one final goodbye with each other. Both of them were unsure what tomorrow could bring them and neither wanted to be alone from now on, they confessed that they needed each other right now.
