   This is brilliant. Legitimately considering incorporating this into my fanon ideas because it works, and having seen it, I can't think of any other explanation.

      well, there are other explanations possible, especially involving other types of neurodivergence, ie, psychosis?
      but it's more or less my headcanon that wrackspurts are overload. xenophilius (who is also autistic and psychosis spectrum) taught her that waving your hands helps get rid of the wrackspurts, since it works for him; it works because stimming helps with overload, etc.
      [not sure if wording good; just woke up myself, but yeah.]

      anyhow, thank you!
      gotta get back to writing fic for this series at some point.

   Wow this is beautiful and honestly makes so much sense!! Might genuinely start using wrackspurts as an analogy to try to explain sensory overload to neurotypicals now haha - I love this so much!
