Buck let out a satisfied groan as he slid into the bubbly water, his back coming to comfortably against Tommy's firm chest. The warm water engulfing him did wonders for his aching joints, and Tommy's arms instantly wrapping around his middle made him feel safe and loved.
He took a deep breath, taking in the scent of the rose petals Tommy had strewn about, as well as the many, many candles that lit up the bathroom and doused it in gentle twilight.
The candles gave off a gentle vanilla scent, Buck's favorite. Butterflies gathered in his stomach at the realization that Tommy had remembered, even though he had only mentioned it in passing a few weeks ago.
Tommy cupped a handful of water and gently let it fall over Buck's chest, the sweat and grime of a long day of fighting fires and saving cats washing off his body, along with the tension in his shoulders. Buck couldn't help a sigh escaping his mouth.
"Happy Anniversary, Evan," Tommy mumbled into Buck's locks in between kisses to his neck and shoulders.
Buck smiled and tilted his head up to catch Tommy's lips with his own. "And to many more to come."
