Summary
When the elevator stops, a few things happen.
First, Evan leans forward, pressing the emergency call button firmly and waiting for a response; when there’s no answer, he lets out a low sigh, shooting Tommy a brief glance but staying facing forward, facing away. Still, nothing comes from the button, so Buck tries again– and Tommy can feel panic sparking in his chest, but he swallows it down.
