My insurance company sent ONEWE to repair my popped tire???

Summary:

There seems to be a severe lack of "My mom sold me to One Direction" themed fics in the fandom, so I thought I'd do my part by contributing a similar take on the trope.

A light-hearted, stupidly-written short story.

Work Text:

It was a horrible, no good day-- for you see, my tire had popped on the road.

There had been glass shards strewn haphazardly across the highway and being the unlucky person I am, I ran right over a particularly pointy shard that led me into the dilemma I am in right now.

Luckily, most of my car was still intact, but my tires were now decimated. I knew it was finally time for me to use up my emergency roadside assistance provided by my insurance company, GEICO (not sponsored).

I phoned up GEICO, who told me to sit tight OFF ROAD with my hazard lights on. I was assured help would arrive shortly.

Sure enough, I saw a big white van headed my way After 15 Seconds. Pleasantly surprised by the speedy customer service, I jumped up and down to greet them, waving my arms about.

The van slowed a few yards behind my car, rolling to a stop. I stepped closer. The driver rolled the window down to greet me and I was shocked to be met with the sight of Ju Harin from the hit South Korean alt rock band ONEWE formerly known as M.A.S 0094???

I was so shocked I barely remembered to say hello and confirm that yes it was me who needed my tires repaired.

The car doors opened and not just Ju Harin but also… Kang Hyungu, Son Dongmyeong, Jin Yonghoon, and Lee Giuk stepped out???

I almost fainted upon recognition of these five very talented very pogchamp very slay musicians, but remembered I was in a dilemma and grounded myself.

I guided them to what remained of my tire. Son Dongmyeong from ONEWE confirmed that the fix was going to be light work, reassuring me with a bright smile that held the wattage of a thousand suns.

ONEWE immediately got to work after assessing the situation, bringing out the car jack and elevating my car to access the popped tire.

Lee Giuk from ONEWE passed by me, carrying a new tire in his arms, while the rest of the band made quick work of removing the old tire. I asked him why they were in America and working under GEICO of all places. He told me that RBW sold them to GEICO.

My already large distaste for RBW grew tenfold.

“Will you guys still be making music?” I asked, for that was the biggest worry on my mind, only second to their well-being.

“Of course,” Kang Hyungu from outer space answered, with a power drill in hand. “Music is our life.”

“Of course,” Jin Yonghoon from ONEWE added, microphone in one hand, microphone stand in the other. He then sang me a short verse of Regulus while I burst into tears.

As a huge fan, I was happy to hear their answers. “I'll always support you guys,” I told them with earnest, as they slapped the hubcap of the tire back in place. They thanked me with equal gratitude.

And just like that, they drove off, leaving me with a half-battered car and shiny new tires. I decided that it was time to go home, and I started up my car. But not before leaving them a 5-star review under the GEICO follow-up questionnaire.

Not two meters after putting the car in drive, did I roll over another unsuspecting piece of glass, resulting in another tire-ing tragedy.

Notes:

I really wanted to write something introspective for Onewe after listening to Endless and Coincidence but I let my motivation marinate for too long and lost it all after finals week decimated me. Thus resulting in a light hee hee ha ha story to heal my broken soul. Perhaps soon, my motivation will Rise Again-- I'm sorry, I'll stop with the rot.
