“What’s your name?” Jeongin doesn’t know if his voice has ever been this soft, this hesitant before. In his entire nineteen years, he’s never once seen a spirit before tonight, and he knows that means that there’s a connection there that’s deeper than words can say. Jeongin just isn’t sure he wants to know what it is.
“Jisung.” The spirit’s voice is equally as soft, but somehow so broken that it makes Jeongin’s heart ache the moment he hears it.
“Jisung,” Jeongin repeats, glancing over to Hyunjin who’s nodding encouragingly at him. He looks back to the spirit named Jisung and swallows again. “Jisung what?”
The spirit doesn’t speak for a moment or two, long enough that Jeongin opens his mouth to repeat his question, but before he can get the words out, he speaks.
“Just Jisung,” he says brokenly. “That’s all there is.”

“I can see that.” Seonghwa cups his face and takes in every birthmark, eyelash and dimple as if he’s not quite certain he’s real and not just a figment of his imagination as a result of sniffing wayyy too many chemicals in that cologne. “Why?”
“Because I missed you.” Chan deadpans, voice muffled as Seonghwa squishes his cheeks between his palms.
“Did you?” Seonghwa whispers, a bit taken aback by the prospect of Chan missing him to the point of skipping out of work. In the middle of a tour nonetheless.
Chan’s eyes soften and he sighs, grabbing Seonghwa’s wrists to make him release his face. “Unbearably so. I was getting on Jisung and Changbin’s nerves pouting about it.”
For all the flowers, and love letters, and lavish trips, this might be the most romantic gesture Chan has ever done for him.

“Hi, we’re going on a road trip,” Jeongin announces, then fishes car keys from his pocket and dangles them in Seungmin’s face.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Seungmin blurts out. “It’s your wedding day.”
Jeongin lowers the keys and gives Seungmin a bemused look. “My wedding is tomorrow. Are you still drunk?”
“We didn’t drink anything yesterday. Are you drunk?” Seungmin counters.
“You took, like, twenty shots last night. Don’t you remember?”
“Do you have brain damage? It’s your wedding day. Look—” Seungmin retrieves his phone from his pajama pocket and peers down at the screen as it lights up. “See? It’s September twenty…”
Seungmin feels the blood drain from his face as he sees “Friday, September 19” displayed on his screen. It is yesterday. Or yesterday is today. Yesterday was Friday, but today is Friday too.
Seungmin is reliving the same exact morning as the day before, down to the stubborn hangover and the surprise road trip. How is that even possible?

Felix revels in the close contact until Chan buries his nose in Felix’s hair and takes the most dramatic, deep inhale. It’s like he’s trying to see if he can suck up Felix’s hair with his nose to tickle his brain.
“Are you smelling me?”
“You smell nice,” Chan says, taking another exaggerated sniff. Felix can’t really imagine how he’d smell nice, after a day out dancing followed by a restaurant visit. Felix pulls his sleeve to his face to see what Chan is talking about. He gets a nose full of smokey, meaty, fried cotton, under it lingers the scent of Chan’s detergent. “I smell like barbecue.”
“Yeah, like I said,” He buries his nose in Felix’s shoulder. “Nice.”
