Coffee

Summary:

Jungkook gets up from his chair and shuts the door, then flops down on his bed, laying on his back. He brings his hand up to his cheek, and he can practically feel the heat of his blush. ‘Jin-hyung can probably fry eggs on my cheek and serve them to Namjoon-hyung still warm and toasty even after two days,’ he thinks to himself.

He sits up and leans against the headboard, staring blankly into the room. What honestly even just happened?

Notes:

Work Text:

Jungkook wants to cry. He had just finished his Biology paper and was just about to start on studying for his Literature test the next day when someone from his class asked him about some group work they apparently had (“Oh, damn! I didn’t even know we had a group project. Thanks for reminding me, Gyeom!”). But in reality, he actually completely forgot about it, and now he wants to break down. Uni life is shit.

“Fuck!” he exclaims, and he was just about to smack his thick Biology book against his head when a voice rings from across the hall.

“Kookie! Want some coffee?”

Jungkook’s head snaps up and turns to his door just as this was being opened, and the rich aroma of coffee wafts into his room. Carrying a mug of coffee was Taehyung, who was his totally lovable but sometimes too-loud roommate (don’t get him wrong, though; he had actually been crushing on Taehyung ever since they first met).

“Ah, Kook-ah!” Taehyung says and sets the mug down on Jungkook’s desk. Jungkook mutters a quiet thank-you and proceeds to sip from his mug. Taehyung sits down on Jungkook’s bed, leaning against the headboard. He looks over at Jungkook, who was in cute little flannel pajamas and a really loose shirt, and whose hair was sticking up and disheveled. ‘Probably from running his hands through them too much,’ he thinks to himself.

“What are you up to at this hour?”

Jungkook groans and puts his mug down, then runs his hand through his hair in frustration. Taehyung just looks at him with an amused look. ‘I knew it,’ he thinks, smirking at the younger.

“Stupid professor assigned us a stupid group project yesterday, and I completely forgot about it until Yugyeom texted me about it.” Jungkook lets out an exasperated sigh, and Taehyung hums in response.

“And then I still have to study for the stupid Literature test we have tomorrow,“ Jungkook says, checking his phone. He groans again. “In a few hours, I mean. Fuck.”

Taehyung nods. “I see. Well,” Taehyung says, “is there anything you need help with -“

He is cut off by a loud chime signaling a notification, and Jungkook turns to check his phone again. His eyes go wide, and he snaps his head towards Taehyung, his mouth slightly open in shock.

Taehyung, though amused at the younger’s expression ('He looks like a cute bunny,’ he thinks), leans forward in concern anyway.

“What’s wrong?” Taehyung, a drama major, is actually pretty good in talking in different tones even when he doesn’t really mean them. He can sound mad if he really wanted to and can seem happy even if he really weren’t. He’s just that good. At the moment, though, there is nothing but a sincere expression on his face.

“Hyung,” Jungkook says in a grieving tone. “My first class is at 8 am, and Literature is literally my first class.”

Taehyung furrows his eyebrows together. “What - Didn’t you know that?” He scratches his head in confusion. “We’re a month and a half into uni, Kook, and it’s… kinda your second year."

Jungkook shakes his head and looks down, suddenly shy. “I keep confusing my first year schedule with this year’s schedule,” he mutters.

Taehyung’s eyes go wide, and suddenly he’s leaning against the headboard again, laughing so loudly that Jungkook swears he can see the mug on his desk vibrating a bit. Jungkook groans for what seemed like the 32nd time that evening, and thinks of smacking his book against his head again.

“Jeon Jungkook, you fucking dumbass!” Taehyung exclaims in between fits of laughter, clutching his stomach as if he were in pain. “God! I think I’m g-getting abs from laughing too h-hard!” He lays back on Jungkook’s bed and continues laughing, his deep tone bouncing off the walls. Though Jungkook wants to smack the back of Taehyung’s head for laughing at his unfortunate ‘happenings’, he still finds himself not being able to take his eyes off of the older.

Taehyung’s laugh, at least to Jungkook, is very pleasant to the ears, and the sight of Taehyung almost losing his shit just because he can’t stop laughing isn’t far from cute, either. His mouth is wide open, his eyes are crinkling in the way they always do whenever Taehyung finds something funny, and now he was shaking and rolling on the younger’s bed. Jungkook doesn’t like thinking that he does (and he doesn’t accept the fact, either), but he blushes a very bright shade of red. Jungkook really just has a soft spot for his roommate.

Taehyung calms down a bit and lets out a deep breath, leaning against the headboard and folding his hands on his stomach.

“Damn, Kookie,” he says. Jungkook tries really hard not to smile at the nickname he’s called. He seriously finds all of the names Taehyung calls him cute (‘Then again, you idiot,’ he thinks to himself, ‘everything he does is cute to you. He’s cute in general, anyway.’), and he always tries his best to not show how much Taehyung’s nicknames really affect him, but this time he can’t help letting out a little smile.

“I haven’t laughed like that in years,” Taehyung says. “The last time I probably laughed just as hard is when my friend Wonwoo told me about how he went to a freshman classroom on his first day of junior year because he had accidentally brought his first year schedule that day. Man, you Jeons are pretty fucking dumb!”

Taehyung starts laughing again. Jungkook rolls his eyes and huffs, crossing his arms and looking at the older with a pout.

“Aw, don’t do that now, Kookie. You’re making it very hard for me not to kiss you right now.”

Jungkook’s eyes go wide just as Taehyung slaps a hand over his mouth, his eyes just as wide. Taehyung screams into his hand, then gets up and gets out of the room at the speed of lightning, leaving the door open.

What the fuck honestly even just happened?

‘Taetae-hyung… wants to kiss me?’ Jungkook thinks. His eyes widen at the thought, and an even darker blush creeps unto his cheeks. Jungkook wants to jump up and down, to squeal, to punch a wall, anything he can do to let out what he’s feeling, but he knows that Taehyung is just outside somewhere and will most likely hear whatever Jungkook tries to do. He instead buries his face into a pillow, a muffled scream resounding softly. ‘Holy shit,’ he thinks again. ‘Taetae-hyung wants to kiss me!’

Jungkook thinks of running out his room and going to wherever Taehyung is and just scream, “Hyung, I want you to kiss me! I want to kiss you, too!” He wants to do something - anything, really. He’s dreamed of this moment ever since he first met Taehyung, and now he just can’t keep his ass any more still. He almost, almost opens his door to go out, his hand already on the knob, but he instead slaps his face a few times and flops himself on his bed again, staring at the ceiling.

‘This can’t fucking be,’ Jungkook thinks to himself. ‘This must be a dream. I must be hallucinating because it’s already 2 in the morning and I still haven’t studied for my Lit test and I literally only have 6 hours left until -' Jungkook’s eyes widen. He immediately gets up and plops into his desk chair, almost spilling his coffee (which had most likely already gone cold) over his notes in the process. Jungkook groans.

“Fuck!” This was going to be longest night of his life.

-

Taehyung paces back and forth back in his own room, clutching his phone in one hand and drumming his fingers against his thigh with the other. “What the fuck, Chim!” he silently exclaims. “Pick the fuck up!”

The person Taehyung has been trying to call finally picks up, and Taehyung lets out a sigh of relief. “Thank god!” he says into the call. “This is literally my sixth time ringing you, you know that? Where have you been?”

A yawn resounds from the other end of the line. “I was sleeping just like how any other sane person at this hour would, Tae,” Jimin replies in a flat tone. “Why are you even calling, anyway? What’s going on -”

Taehyung cuts him off. “Aww, poor Jiminie,” he says in mock-pity. “I thought you and Yoongi-hyung would be fucking at this hour considering how you two literally couldn’t keep your hands off each other when we were all together the other day in the campus cafe!”

“Shut up, Tae,” Jimin says (Taehyung can practically feel his blush from across the campus) just as a deep voice in the background also says “I heard that, brat.”

Taehyung’s eyes widen and his mouth forms an ‘o’. “Woah, Ji-mi-nie~!” he exclaims and lets out a low whistle, eventually bursting into laughter. “Guess I wasn’t completely wrong, after all!"

Jimin groans from the other end of the line, and Taehyung pretends he doesn’t hear Yoongi’s “Yah, Kim Taehyung!” . “Why’d you call, though -”

Taehyung screams into the call, and he giggles when he hears both Jimin and Yoongi complaining afterwards. “Okay, hyungs, this is what happened.” Jimin and Yoongi hum in response at the same time.

“I brought Jungkookie coffee because I saw that he was still up doing some shit for uni -“ Taehyung ignores Yoongi asking “Why were you also still up, anyway?” “- and he just looked so cute in his little flannel pajamas and his hair was so messy!” Taehyung sighs for a moment at the image in his mind - which, of course, will now stay there forever - and continues rambling.

"And he was so frustrated because he literally found out just now that he still has a group project to work on, and I was asking him if he needed my help with anything when his phone suddenly chimed - I think it was a reminder of some sort - and then he just kinda went into shock, Chim-Chim and Yoongi-hyung!” From the other end of the line, Jimin rolls his eyes, and Yoongi chuckles.

“So I asked him, right?” Taehyung begins again. “I asked him what was wrong and he said his first class was Literature - which he had a test in; I mentioned that, didn’t I? - and that it starts at 8 am.”

Taehyung takes a deep breath before he continues. “So I was like, ‘Didn’t you know that?’ because he seemed so shocked! And it turns out that he’s been confusing his first year schedule with his second year schedule recently -“ Jimin lets out a “What?!” while Yooongi just laughs out loud “- and I just started laughing and laughing! I swear, I literally could not stop laughing, and that was the first time I’ve laughed that long and hard -“ Yoongi snorts “- in a while - shut up you dirty-minded hyung -“ Yoongi lets out a “What are you talking about?” while Jimin just laughs his cute little high-pitched laugh “- and it was just so funny because first, that’s also similar to what happened to my friend Wonwoo, and second, they’re both Jeons!”

By now, Jimin was full-on laughing from the other end of the line, and Yoongi was chuckling the way he always does.

“Yeah, yeah, so here’s when it gets interesting,” Taehyung says after laughing along with them for a moment. “I couldn’t stop laughing, right? Kookie has the nerve - the audacity! - to cross his arms and pout!” He slowly inhales. “He fucking pouted, Chim!” Yoongi grunts. “And Yoongi-hyung!”

Jimin hums in response again. “And then?”

“So in my mind, I was like, ‘What the fuck? Why is this cute little bunny now looking like a cute little puppy?” Yoongi snorts, and Taehyung thinks he heard Jimin slap Yoongi’s arm to silence him, but he isn’t sure. “And I just couldn’t handle him and his dumb but seriously cute ass -“ “You love his ass anyway, Tae” “- shut up, Jiminie, of course I do - so the next thing I said was, 'Aw, don’t do that now, Kookie. You’re making it very hard for me not to kiss you right now.’”

Silence fills the line, and at first Taehyung thinks Jimin had hung up on him. “Hello? Chim-Chim? Yoongi-hyung?”

“Holy shit, Taehyung-ah,” Yoongi says from the other end of the line. “Yoongi-hyung? Where’s Jiminie?” ‘Huh,’ he thinks to himself. ‘I expected Chim to react the most. Where is he now?’

“He, uh...” Yoongi says in an uneasy tone. Taehyung furrows his eyebrows in confusion.

“He’s just here. Laying on the bed. I think he’s kinda shocked -”

“HOLY SHIT, TAE!” Jimin screams into the call. Taehyung’s eyes widen in surprise, and he giggles. “You finally fucking did it! You finally let him know how you really feel about him! What did he say?”

Now it was Taehyung’s turn to be uneasy. “I think I might’ve scared him…” Jimin gasps while Yooongi hums in response. “His eyes became even bigger than they already are, and mine did, too, and I immediately slapped a hand over my mouth and screamed as soon as I realised what I had said, and then I bolted out the door screaming and here I am now.”

“Damn,” Yoongi says just as Jimin says “Oh no!” Taehyung sighs. “Yeah. Now I don’t know what to do,” he says in a discouraged tone.

“Well,” Yoongi starts, “did you mean it?”

“Huh?” Taehyung asks. ‘What does he mean, did I mean it?’ he thinks to himself. 'Mean what?’

“What he means, Tae,” Jimin says, “is did you mean what you said about it being hard not to kiss him? Were you implying that you wanted to kiss Kookie?”

Taehyung blushes. He’s actually had a crush on the younger ever since they first met, what with Jungkook practically being Taehyung’s second half. They did everything together - they played video games, ate out, studied, watched movies, sang, screamed, laughed, cuddled, and even cried together. Taehyung can't bear the thought of having to live life without his best friend, and now he feared that the incident earlier might’ve just put him in the direction of just that. It scared him to the point that Taehyung thought he might actually cry.

“I… Yes, I do,” Taehyung says shyly. “You both know that I’ve liked him for literally the longest time already - fuck, I’m pretty sure the whole campus knows - and I’ve always dreamed of how life would be like if we actually got… together.”

Taehyung sighs. “I might even love him already. I just…"

Yoongi hums in response. “Why are you so hesitant, then?”

Taehyung frowns. “Hyung, I don’t think Kookie will be comfortable with me liking him. I’m certain I scared him earlier, and I don’t even know what will happen when we cross paths in our living room or something.” Taehyung groans.

“Fuck. I’m scared, hyung. I won’t even mind anymore if he doesn’t like me back. I just don’t want to lose my best friend. Crush or not, Jungkook is still very important and dear to me. I don’t wanna lose him just because of some stupid mistake.”

“Are you saying that liking him is a mistake?” Jimin asks. Taehyung shakes his head, forgetting that they were actually communicating through a call. “No, Chim. But saying that I wanted to kiss him was a mistake. What if he was disgusted? What if he ends up ignoring me for the rest of our lives and never talks to me again? I’m just so scared, Chim-Chim and Yoongi-hyung. I feel like shit.”

“Hmm… But didn’t you say that you meant what you said about wanting to kiss him?”

“I…” Now Taehyung was speechless. Yoongi got him there. He did mean it, right?

“Oh come on, Tae,” Yoongi drawls. “I’ve seen the way the kid looks at you, and believe me when I tell you that he actually started tearing up once because he didn’t blink for the longest time."

Taehyung furrows his eyebrows again. ‘Is it possible?’ he thinks to himself, immediately being filled with hope. ‘Is it actually possible that Kookie might actually like me?”

Yet, Taehyung scoffs. “That’s really just the way Jungkookie is, hyung.”

“Tae, you fucking idiot!” Jimin exclaims. Taehyungs jumps a little, taken aback by Jimin’s sudden outburst. “Just talk to him about it! If he really loves you - if ever he doesn’t like you in the same way you like him - he would still be your friend no matter what! And besides, we’re not even sure yet about him not liking you back, either. The only way to find out is by actually sorting shit out with him, Tae!”

“Jiminie’s right, Taehyung-ah,” Yoongi says. “It never hurts to try. You’ll feel much better after you talk to him about it rather than just leaving the subject and never addressing it, and I trust that Jungkook will never hurt you - at least not intentionally.”

Taehyung nods, forgetting once again that they were, that’s right, communicating through a phone call.

“Oh my god,” Taehyung says. “I seriously don’t know what I would do without you guys. Thank you so much, Chim-Chim and Yoongi-hyung! I’m sorry for disrupting your sleep - or whatever you were both doing, if you know what I mean.”

Jimin groans, but Yoongi chuckles. “It’s alright. Jiminie and I were already finishing when you called, anyway.”

Taehyung’s eyes go wide, and he bursts out laughing. Jimin, on the other hand, is absolutely wild.

“NO! Oh my GOD, TAE!” Jimin tries to explain, but all his efforts are to no avail as both Taehyung and Yoongi were now howling with laughter. “We were just sleeping, I swear!”

“Yeah, yeah. What-EVER, Chim-Chim!” Taehyung says in a sing-song tone. He definitely felt better now - confident, even.

After a few more laughs and goodbyes are exchanged, Taehyung ends the call, determined to talk to Jungkook as soon as possible.

‘You can do this, Tae,’ he thinks to himself. ‘You can do this.’

Taehyung smiles to himself before finally opening his door and going out into the hallway.

-

Taehyung.

Taehyung, Taehyung, Taehyung.

Taehyung saying “You’re making it very hard for me not to kiss you right now.”

Taehyung and his big eyes and big mouth and even bigger personality.

Taehyung’s laugh. Taehyung’s cute little boxy smile. Taehyung’s cute little pout.

Taehyung in general.

Jungkook couldn’t stop thinking about Taehyung (especially after what had transpired moments before). He had given up on studying and decided that he needed more coffee. After all, the coffee Taehyung had given him earlier had already gone cold, and what is coffee if it isn’t hot?

(Taehyung is hot.)

He was now in the kitchen trying to get the coffee-making machine to work, but Jungkook just can’t get his mind off of the older. He had even almost forgotten what he even went to the kitchen for because he was so lost in thought, but Jungkook eventually remembered when he absentmindedly almost dropped his mug.

“Fuck,” Jungkook mutters, frustrated with the machine. Though coffee is basically Jungkook's beloved, only Taehyung knows how to brew the coffee, which is pretty ironic considering only Jungkook drinks it and Taehyung just absolutely can’t stand it.

(“I will never understand why people like this shit,” Taehyung had said one morning while preparing the coffee for the younger as usual. “Well, you apparently understand enough to prepare some for me everyday, hyung,” Jungkook had replied, blushing at his own words.)

Jungkook sets his mug down and leans against the counter. “I need Taetae-hyung,” he mumbles, running his hand through his hair.

“What?”

Jungkook’s eyes widen, and he stands up straight and whips his head around to look at his hyung, who was standing at the entrance of their kitchen. Taehyung looks at him in the eye with his head slightly tilted to the side in question.

“Oh, uhm…” Jungkook says, visibly flustered. He wants to scream. Taehyung just cocks an eyebrow at him. “I, uh - b-because you know how to prepare coffee and I can’t, yeah…” he trails off, rubbing his burning nape with his hand in an attempt to calm it down. God, Jungkook wanted to cry, scream, laugh, and puke all at the same time. ‘If Hoseok-hyung were here right now,’ he thinks to himself, ‘he would be jumping off the walls and howling in laughter at me.’

Taehyung just chuckles, his deep tone going right into Jungkook ears. Jungkook turns an even deeper shade of red, silently praying that his phone would ring so that he would have an excuse to get away. As much as he’s enjoying Taehyung’s company, he isn't enjoying the fact that he’s becoming more pathetic every passing second.

“I see,” Taehyung replies, sauntering over to the counter the coffee machine is on top of. “I’ll prepare some for you, okay? You can go wait for it back in your room.”

“I wanna watch you,” Jungkook blurts out, immediately regretting it as soon as the words came out of his mouth. Taehyung turns his head to look at the younger, an amused look on his face.

“Making the coffee, I mean!” Jungkook follows up, internally smacking himself. ‘Yeah, good job, you fool,’ he thinks to himself. “So that I can learn and just make my own coffee next time.”

“Are you saying that you don’t want me to make your coffee anymore?” Taehyung asks, pretending to look and sound hurt. Jungkook absolutely buys it.

“N-No! No, hyung!” Jungkook, with eyes as wide as saucers, exclaims while shaking his head wildly. Taehyung is trying his best to keep a straight face, but he feels like he can explode into laughter at any second. Jungkook being flustered is quite the sight to Taehyung seeing as he finds it incredibly funny (and cute), which is why he teases the younger whenever he can. “That’s not what I meant at all! I just didn’t want to keep bothering you -”

“Ah, Kookie!” Taehyung cuts him off and giggles for a moment. He turns around and starts working on brewing. “I was just kidding! You don’t bother me at all, okay? I like making coffee for you.”

Taehyung’s eyes widen at his own words. He feels his cheeks burn, and he thanks the heavens above that his back is turned and Jungkook can’t see him. ‘Great,’ he thinks to himself. ‘So much for being slick and confident.’

Jungkook, on the other hand, is already on the verge of combusting. He can practically hear Hoseok screaming 'Do something, you idiot!’ He takes a deep breath and stands beside Taehyung, watching him work. He stares at Taehyung’s hands, not being able to bring his gaze up to the older’s face. Jungkook clears his throat.

To Jungkook’s surprise, Taehyung pauses what he’s doing, throws his head back, and laughs. “Why are you so tense?” the older asks. He turns his head and looks at Jungkook with a warm smile, hoping to put the other at ease. “I can feel nervous energy radiating off of you.” Jungkook just looks at him and gulps.

“Hey, look at me,” Taehyung says, holding Jungkook by the shoulders to have the younger face him. Jungkook, though shocked, complies anyway. They look into each other’s eyes for a moment before Taehyung speaks again.

“Are you okay?” Taehyung asks. Jungkook can’t decide which one affects him more - the fact that Taehyung is still holding his shoulders, or the way Taehyung asked him in such a gentle and caring tone. Jungkook wants to melt, but another realization dawns on him: their faces are mere inches apart. Jungkook’s breathing gets faster, and an alarm is blaring in his head, saying that this is probably the perfect moment to confess his feelings to Taehyung.

(Earlier, while Taehyung was in his call with Jimin and Yoongi, and before Jungkook decided he needed more coffee, Jungkook had also called someone for advice - Jin. Hoseok and Namjoon were also with Jin at the time.

“Oh my god, Kookie! I’m so proud of you! You can do it, okay?”

“Yes, Jin-hyung! But how exactly do I -”

“Write him a poem, Kook-ah. He’ll love it. I’m thinking maybe 8 to 12 stanzas…?”

“I don’t think I can really do that, Namjoon-hyung…”

“Just kiss him, Kook! Push him against a wall and just go for it!"

“Wha - ! H-Hobi-hyung! I-Isn’t that too much?”

“Psh. Jin-hyung seems to like it a lot whenever Joon pushes him against a wall and eats his face -”

“Yah! Hoseok-ah! Shut up or I’ll poison your food with Yoongi’s week-old socks!”

“Hoookay, hyungs. I think I can do this already. Thanks for all the help!”)

‘Fuck,’ Jungkook thinks to himself, Hoseok’s advice ringing in his mind. ‘Do I just… go for it?' Kissing Taehyung shouldn’t be that hard, right? It’s what he’s always wanted - why shouldn’t he be able to do it now?

‘Fuck,’ he thinks again. ‘This is it. I’m going for it.’

Jungkook grabs Taehyung by the waist and pushes him against the counter, their faces even closer than before. Taehyung’s eyes widen, his hands still on Jungkook’s shoulders and a bright red blush visible on his cheeks. Jungkook, though, is redder than a firetruck.

“Hyung,” Jungkook starts, looking right into Taehyung’s eyes. “I-I, uh…”

Jungkook closes his eyes and leans in, desperate to just get this over with, but his nerves get the best of him. He opens his eyes and finds himself just mere centimeters from the older’s face, causing him to choke on his own spit. Taehyung is even more beautiful up close.

Taehyung just stares at him with wide eyes, his mouth slightly open with shock. Jungkook looks at the ceiling in embarrassment, willing himself to just stop being such a fucking coward and just kiss the boy in front of him. He closes his eyes and huffs.

“Man, this is hard!”

“I’m hard.”

Jungkook’s eyes snap open, and he almost breaks his neck from how fast he turns to look at Taehyung.

“W-What?”

If Jungkook thought he was redder than a firetruck before, that was nothing compared to how he was feeling now. Jungkook now needs an actual firetruck because his whole body was now burning - no, the whole goddamn room is - because god, god, Taehyung is… what? Hard? As in… man-hard?

Jungkook can hear the call of the void.

Taehyung’s eyes widen even more, and Jungkook is actually scared that Taehyung’s eyes will just eventually pop out of their sockets.

“Oh, fuck,” Taehyung whispers, his deep voice sending chills down Jungkook’s spine. “Did I say that out loud?”

Jungkook almost chokes on his own spit again. “… A-Are you really?”

“Wha - No! No, Kookie, no!” Taehyung exclaims, clearly flustered. Taehyung silently wishes for the stove to just magically turn on and burn him alive. ‘I can’t believe I actually fucking said that,’ he thinks to himself. ‘I’m not even hard! Well, maybe a little bit…’

“Oh my god, I-I’m so sorry!” he rambles. “This mouth of mine just really says and does the weirdest shit all the time, really -“

“I love your mouth, anyway.”

Taehyung’s mouth shuts close just as Jungkook finally leans in and closes the space between them. Taehyung finds himself immediately closing his eyes and wrapping his hands around Jungkook’s neck, pulling him closer.

The kiss finishes just as quick as it started, and Taehyung hasn’t even fully processed what just happened yet until Jungkook, red as ever, starts pulling away, biting his lip in nervousness. Taehyung looks at other confusedly, his eyes not quite open all the way and his mouth slightly open. Jungkook would find this adorable if only he weren’t way worse. (Jungkook’s lips were now a bit swollen even if they really only kissed for like two seconds.)

“Why’d you stop?” Taehyung asks, and Jungkook swears he can physically feel his own blood run cold at Taehyung’s voice, what with it having somehow gone deeper than it already is. (‘God, that’s sexy,’ he thinks to himself.) “I can tell you’ve wanted this for a long time.”

Suddenly, Taehyung’s lips are on Jungkook’s again, and this time Taehyung’s hands are now running through Jungkook’s hair. Wanting to get as close as possible, Jungkook presses himself against Taehyung even more, eliminating any space left.

Jungkook can feel his head spinning, his hands gripping the older’s waist even tighter. He won’t even care anymore if he won’t be able to finish studying for his test just as long as he can keep kissing Taehyung. His group project can go fuck itself, too. Taehyung is far more important. (Okay, maybe - just maybe - education is just as important.)

Jungkook sighs through the kiss, marveling at how soft Taehyung’s lips are. Taehyung smiles, licking at Jungkook’s bottom lip to gain full access to the younger’s mouth, and he giggles when he feels Jungkook shiver at the new sensation. Jungkook feels Taehyung’s low giggle go right through him, and he brings his hands up to hold Taehyung’s jaw, rubbing tiny circles on it with his thumbs. Taehyung melts into the feeling.

“Mmm…” Taehyung mumbles, pulling away, but his lips still grazing Jungkook's. “You taste like coffee. I like it.”

Jungkook, still in a haze, presses his forehead against Taehyung’s, eyes still closed. “I thought you hated coffee?” he murmurs, his breath fanning out on Taehyung’s lips. Taehyung hums contentedly.

“Guess I like it now that I’ve tasted it on you.”

Jungkook has no problem with that, leaning into Taehyung to kiss him again (and again, and again). After all, he has a roommate, best friend, and now boyfriend who always makes the best coffee all rolled into one. What more can he ask for?
