Tae was used to people throwing shade at him for being a magic holder. He was one of the last few known to the public, one of the only magic holders that didn't hide themselves away.
Maybe that was because he didn't really care what others thought, he just wanted to live freely.
Though, that didn't mean their mean words didn't get to him sometimes. The worst in his opinion, was when he was called evil. Tae was the furthest thing from evil, didn't have a mean bone in his body.

Summary
Birds. Jeongguk had always loved them, and oddly enough, that seemed to be reciprocated. He'd often be able to get close enough to lightly tap their little heads, or smooth their feathers. Sometimes even hold the beauties.
Taehyung had admired that about him. Jeongguk never talked to anyone, not since he was younger, and of course most of the students in their college thought he was odd, and they often made jokes.
They never said it to his face, but he wasn't as oblivious as he looked. He understood though. Society was molded in a harsh way, and the people around him had no choice but to mold with it.
He wasn't innocent, he often made fun of things, and made jokes, judged people, he just wasn't as verbal about it. He's only human.
It was just the way things were. And of course, with that came the unwanted, unsupported feelings of the friendly, not very popular, but still liked, science major, and the boy whose only friends were birds.

Just waiting for the perfect occasion to poke its head up, waving a big banner that announced “Hey you’re in love with your best friend!” Jungkook reasoned that he wasn’t in love, but he was attracted to the other man. And love and attraction, were not the same thing.
It's winter break at university and Taehyung laments not finding a date in time for Christmas. The next best thing is to secure one for New Year's Eve. Jungkook wishes he could confess his feelings, but doesn't think Taehyung sees him the same way. Nevertheless, he's determined to give Taehyung the best birthday party ever.
