Zooble swore they'd came back, but Gangle, or anyone else they asked, said Zooble never left.

The tides dropped off a skeleton. Its bones were worn out and weathered from the tides. Alador normally wouldn't pay any mind to it, but he recognized the necklace it was wearing the second he saw it. It boasted the most beautiful blue gem he had ever seen in his life on it, encased in silver. He came here when he was younger, just for that specific crystal. He wanted to make a gift out of it for someone special to him, he remembered that.
He remembered the jeweler's reaction to seeing it. The look on their face when he said he simply wanted to gift it to someone, not sell it or use it as a weapon or bribe anyone.
He remembered Odalia's face beaming like a thousand suns when he gifted her that necklace. Now, she was just bones, and the silver had worn out. It never occured to Alador that she had worn it any more than two times in her life.

Summary
Caine has sent Pomni on an adventure to slay a prince, lest the world is destroyed. He is surprisingly adamant, insisting she completes the task despite her having done so over and over and over already.
It's been so long since she's been at this that she doesn't remember much else anymore. Though with every time she drives her blade into the prince's heart, or lets him free, or dies at his hand, she starts to remember what she was looking for. She learns he's looking for the same thing.
