When he gets a letter from Sasuke saying he’ll be home in two days with intel about Amegakure's new leadership, Naruto's routine is shattered--and maybe it's for the better.* * *
But then he was thinking about Sasuke’s mouth, the cut of his smirk and the way no, Naruto definitely had thought about that. And he’d thought about it when he smiled soft too, the way his mouth looked so different and yet still so unfairly beautiful. He hadn’t thought about kissing him though. The thought had the room shrinking. Shit. No, he was definitely not thinking about it. Not about how Sasuke would respond if he ever did kiss him. A wild variety of scenarios immediately flashed through his head and Naruto stopped breathing.
