After Baku 2018, Christian decides he’s done with the way Max and Daniel are acting and sends them off to a one-week stay at an abandoned house with no way of them leaving—and only three people watching over them, probably because Helmut didn’t trust them not to kill each other, Max thought. He keeps a journal of the rules of Daniel Ricciardo, obviously.
After Suzuka 2024, it is not that Max is expecting it but moreso that he is not surprised. They go again, to the same house, for another week—at this point, Max thinks it must be Christian’s fetish.
It does not get any easier.
