Tennis Ball, having just barely escaped the end of the universe by diving into the pocket dimension that is the hotel — a last ditch attempt at survival that Grassy, Pen, TV, Tree, and Fanny also took — decides to keep a journal, in the hopes that whoever might rescue them in the future knows what happened.
That is, if they survive long enough to BE rescued. Because things are going wrong, fast. Everything is gone. Nothing feels real anymore. If they don’t die of starvation first, they might just go insane.

A somewhat liminal AU I immediately started developing when TPOT 15 came out, but never got far into writing. I’ve decided to post what I have so far, but unfortunately I’ve totes lost motivation, cuz I really dislike a lot of the stuff I have in here n want 2 change them! D: If I ever do continue this story, I’ll prob do a slight rewrite first, where I’ll basically go thru and tweak stuff, and THEN post it as a new fic lol.

What if Death P.A.C.T wasn't simply a group of animated, speaking objects, battling for a prize?
In an alternate universe, into a world filled with violence, chaos, and, inevitably, death, it shatters your spirit and fucks up your head so much that all you can do to help your sanity and survive is to help others by 'preventing death'.
You have people like Liy, who's desperately trying to leave behind her dark past, by saving people as a way to cope, and then there's Black Hole, a living safety hazard who wants to keep others safe with the powers he has and show that he doesn't want to be as scary as he looks. Then, you have Remote, Pie, and Tree, who do it for the sake of morale. And for Bottle, Pen, and Pillow? They're just doing it to survive, with whatever shit they're goofing off with.
But, in a world like this, all you really CAN do is survive.
