“I just don't see what the problem is.”
Obelix furrows his brow, tilting his head slightly sideways as he attempts to accurately read his best friend's expression. There's something there he's never seen before, a dark shadow lingering behind Asterix’ normally bright eyes that he can't seem to decipher. In fact, the more he thinks about it the less sense it makes—the more it confuses him. He wants to reach out and so he follows the whim, a gentleness to his touch that is generally only reserved for Asterix. He hesitates which is another oddity, but makes contact nonetheless—except it’s not accepted. With an irritated huff, Asterix shrugs the comforting hand off and the inherent fondness in Obelix’ chest hardens.
“Of course you wouldn’t,” Asterix scoffs. “You don’t see anything, do you?”
“Oh, I don’t see anything, huh?”

No one is saying you don’t like Ginger for real, it’s just a marketing ploy. You’ve never been opposed to good publicity in the past,” Berman pointed out.
“I have, if said publicity is built upon blatant lies,” Fred shot back, throwing one arm out in frustration.

Alastor’s voice is laced with static, thick and buzzing as if the word tastes bitterly on his tongue. His neck twists a bit further, stopping at an unnatural angle as he tips his head sideways with an audible crack. Charlie feels his eyes on her, studying her every miniscule expression and the corner of her lips twitches. He clicks his tongue, as if that small slipup is all he needs. Nausea pools at the pit of Charlie’s belly, and she wraps her arms around herself.
“Yes, friends,” she pushes, the annoyance and hurt bleeding through.
“Hm. Is that what we are?” Alastor muses far too quickly, looking away as he taps one claw thoughtfully against his lip. “Well, I suppose I might have muddied the waters somewhat.”

Veers stared blankly at him for a moment, blinking slowly as the words registered before lowering his gaze to his own food. He pursed his lips, scowling but his disgusted expression slowly transitioned into something more akin to perplexed confusion. Piett was surprised he didn’t have an immediate retort, but accepted the silence as agreement as he began eating again. At least he wouldn’t have to hear more about Tarkin getting busy; thank the Force.
“How does Vader even fuck?”
