George cradled the boy instinctively. His wide eyes met Max’s over Kimi’s curls—confusion and shock mingling there.
“Holy shit.” Carlos spoke first. “What does that even mean, mate?”
Max didn’t answer. How was he supposed to know?
Lewis voiced the question hanging over them, “Does he think you and George are his parents?”or Max returned to his small hometown after four years away and the last thing he expected was to find a toddler mysteriously locked in his car—calling him 'Papa'.

Summary

Kimi wasn't a kid anymore. Another reason he was sure he'd matured enough was that he had always accidentally witnessed his teammate’s weird situationship drama with his own rival, Max Verstappen, leaving him confused and a tad bit stressed.

“What? No! Why is that your first assumption? I woke up here, mate! I seem to recall you were the one doing the, uh, cuddling.”Or:

Max is generally a little stubborn, but every now again he’s capable of admitting when he’s made a mistake.
Like now.
He’s in his kitchen, stirring a cup of bland tea that he won’t drink, when he realises how pointless this all is. It’s been two days since Spain but he misses George like a lost limb and he suspects George may miss him too.
There’s no need to deprive themselves of something so good just because they’ve indulged in the softer side of things a little too much. After all, everything is good in moderation.
Or: Max and George start hooking up in Qatar. When the hate-sex turns to something softer Max isn’t quite sure how to feel about it.
