Summary
The cover is a light purple, a soft pastel that’s easy on the eyes, and there’s a small sticker of a cat in a lower corner. Jaemin rubs a finger over it, feeling the edge of it flick under his nail. He opens the book up to the first page and blinks when he sees a ruled page, bursting with handwritten sentences.
Because the thing is: even to this day, I’ve never said it out loud.
Or: Jaemin gets a handwritten notebook in the mail, is a bit sad, and gets frustrated at the author.

Renjun waved the other off with a roll of his eyes and was still not aware of his entire family’s meltdown over the exchange.
“Junnie,” Guanheng finally piped up while the rest of their relatives were still staring shell-shocked. “Who was that?”
It was Jeno he almost said.
Jeno who loved milk. Jeno who crashed over their place so many times after being endlessly sexiled by his own roommate that he practically lived with them now. Jeno who called him and Mark ‘honey’ and vice versa as a little inside joke after a drunken night of watching Mamma Mia! and other musicals.
Jeno who was really only his friend.
This was what Renjun should have said. But instead, in a state of panic and self depreciation, Renjun said, “Jeno… my boyfriend.”

Summary
There's a chance that Jaemin will never reach out, never offer Jeno the branch he needs to let go, and maybe Jeno will just have to keep those feelings to himself, to ache with it the way Renjun does, to simmer with it until he either burns from the inside out and gives in or fizzles out and gives up.
It's a perverse sort of wish, one that leads him to wonder how and when he's become such a selfish person, and in the end it doesn't matter. Jaemin makes the first move. Jeno won't have to agonize the way Renjun has.
Jaemin kisses him that night while Renjun is upstairs puking his guts out in the porcelain bowl.

The story follows our hero, Mark Lee, philosophy major by day and sword-wielding superhero by night. He would be nothing without his trusty guy-in-the-chair Jaemin Na, expert hacker by night, Mark's ex-boyfriend by day (but he doesn't like to talk about it).
As for Jeno? He's our villain.
