Summary

Everything seems to go to shit when the freshly thawed Steve Rogers Himself is brought in to consult. Bucky’s life is about to change and not because he’s gotten his chance at stardom. Will anything melt the ice that still seems to cling to Cap’s heart? When an on-set accident costs Bucky his arm and nearly his life, he gets to see a new side of Steve. Aliens happen in New York and Suddenly Steve is absent in Buck’s life, leaving a void. They don’t see one another again for months, until new pal Tony arranges a meeting at an awards show.

Bucky Barnes is happy. He has everything he could want. He lives in a great house and has a close-knit group of friends. Sure, he'd like to be in love, but he wouldn't call himself lonely. His life is going along just fine until Steve Rogers - Captain freaking America - walks into his bookshop specializing in military history. Bucky's always had a thing for Captain America, and Steve Rogers exceeds all his fantasies.
Until he takes Bucky on the emotional rollercoaster ride of his life, leaving him wildly disappointed and nursing a broken heart.
After giving him a second chance and being burned again, Bucky is done with Steve Rogers. It's a good thing Steve is willing to do whatever it takes to make it up to him, and prove that his bad behavior is in the past.

Summary
The camera cuts to a cell phone video, shot vertically, of the banks of the Potomac with Bucky hunched possessively, almost predatorily, over Steve's beaten and dripping wet body, (replacement?) mask somehow back on his face, everything concealed except his eyes and forehead. Off-camera one voice calls for an ambulance as another voice asks, "Are.... are you a new Avenger? Did you just save Captain America?"
Bucky looks up, eyes momentarily confused but quickly turning to a stormy glare before snarling, "I fucked Captain America. In the ass."
(The mask doesn't come off until the helicarrier. This complicates things.)

“Fixing it,” Jack says, screwing up his tiny face in concentration. Dean looks at Sam, who has an eyebrow raised, then back at the kid.
“Fixing what, buddy?” Dean asks, but then Jack’s eyes glow gold and the room gets dark. “Jack?”
“I’m fixing it!” Jack says, palms still pressed to Dean’s cheeks, and a shape starts to take form beside the table, at first something formless and grey, but it goes white as it eases into a silhouette.
