    After the first few Muggle-born petrifications, everyone’s more than happy to blame Harry Potter: the only known Parselmouth at Hogwarts.

    Tom only joins the Gryffindor’s investigation to keep suspicion off himself. Not because he’s felt vaguely unmoored since they stopped brewing together.
