So when Kenny McCormick, famous in South Park for being friends with total dickheads (read: Eric Cartman), walked into the store in his trademark orange parka, fur-lined hood down, sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose and hands stuck into the pockets of his parka, Craig fully expected him to be a dick about him working too.

There is something so novel about being under the shade with your lover, fingers knit together and watching flower petals fall onto the ground. Law laughs, burying his face into Zoro's nape from behind. There's a giddy smile on his face that Zoro could feel, Law's goatee tickling the small exposed part of his shoulder blade. Zoro doesn't think he's ever been in love, but this is the closest he's felt to something so self-indulgent. It's warm and lovely.
They've done this a handful of times already, but it feels different now, because tomorrow all of this would just fade away into a lingering memory. They'll never need a reason to form an alliance again. Might as well make all of today worth it, right?

He hears a laugh, and feels a weight on his lap. Opening his eyes, Scaramouche is greeted with the sight of Kazuha's head all in its white and red glory. He has his eyes closed, on his face an easy smile, though he has dark circles under his eyes. Scaramouche reaches out to caress Kazuha's hair against his better judgement, but doesn't pull away when he hears the other sigh in content.

zhongli isn't stupid. he's most certainly not naive, either. but the ever-growing garden in his heart whenever kaeya provides him love says otherwise. the lingering sense of guilt stays in the garden like a weed, but zhongli is far too blinded by the beauty of the flowers growing around it to make note of it.
