Summary
The silence stretched between them then, thick and awkward. Not because they had nothing to say; because they had too much. Too many questions neither wanted to voice first. Too many unspoken rules from Hell suddenly meaningless here.
Vox finally stood, joints cracking in protest. Annoying. Stupid human body. “Look. All I know is we woke up like this. On Earth. Together. With all our memories and none of our powers. So, congratulations, deer boy, you’re stuck with me.”
Alastor pinched the bridge of his nose, inhaling sharply through his teeth. “Let me get this straight. I have been forcibly deposited into a mortal vessel, next to you, with no warning, no explanation, and no immediate means of escape?”
“That’s the gist,” Vox said.
Alastor stared at him.
Then laughed.
Or Alastor and Vox find themselves into a different realm with human bodies.

A single, sharp thump against his ribs. Hard enough to feel. Hard enough that his breath hitched. He couldn’t stop watching Vox. Vox shining. Vox gloating. Vox destroying the King of Hell in front of thousands. Vox basking in triumph like it was a second skin.
The cameras zoomed in on his grin. The curve of neon light across his face, lit like desire or malice or both. Alastor’s fingers flexed against the restraints. The ropes burned. He liked it. Hated that he liked it. His smile didn’t break, but it faltered, just a flicker, a millisecond, a glitch. He felt heat coil in his gut, something foreign and unwelcome and dangerously alive.
“Damn you,” he whispered, barely audible, his radio voice cracking beneath the words.

The ‘Radio Demon’ was never as frightened, as fragile as this; in his memories of the smiling, dead man from his past, his old friend was always so abrasive, so eager to laugh at him and put him down as if he was beneath him, somehow … maybe this was a moment where he should show some softness; if he taught Alastor he could bring both pain and comfort, then maybe, maybe he’d come closer to becoming the pliant pet he knew he could be.

Everything he could've wanted, was his. He's come into his crown; the throne was his, Heaven and Hell were his, Alastor was his. So why does he find himself becoming lost in the mirrors from his past, and the memory of Alastor from before?

Late nights, blood stains, two concepts familiar to both men, and yet they always try to hide it from one another- that is, until someone get's caught.

Vox never told Alastor that his name used to be Vincent, because if he had it would have been pretty easy for Alastor to realize that the demon he was talking to was his son. Whatever equilibrium they had gets knocked asunder when Lucifer decides to take a swipe at Alastor's parenting by using his relationship with Vox as obvious evidence of his failure.

Suddenly, all too quickly and with the overzealous confidence of a school boy, Vox turns to him sharply with a wide grin.
“Wanna dance?”
He can’t help a sputter a laugh at the request, entirely taken aback by the directness. He pretends to roll the idea over in his mind for a moment before letting out a sigh of defeat. So much for unnecessary drama.
“Why not”
Vox practically beams at him, immediately jumping up from his seat with a slight tumble to grab the top end of Alastor’s forearm. Despite his large sharp claws and the suddenness of the gesture - his touch is surprisingly gentle.Or: 5 times over the course of their relationship Alastor wanted to initiate physical affection but Vox got there first and one time he beat him to it
