Summary
Bucciarati tried, time and time again - in the car, in the overheated space of his flat, in a safehouse they got stuck in for a couple of days after a mission gone wrong.
It felt as though the distance between him and Leone could not be closed in - a brush of hands, a light-hearted touch of feet while they lay on the sofa, half-heartedly watching the repeated episodes of ER , pretending to be focused on the plot more than they were on one another.
Somehow, the mood was never quite right. A topic would bring a traumatic confession or two, breaking the bubble - or perhaps it was too loud on the street and the poor goth ended up with a headache.

Summary
They were alike in so many ways. They were both committed to living their truth, even if the realization of what that meant came a little later than either of them wanted. Maybe both of them could benefit from having a bit more of a filter sometimes; it would keep them out of trouble. Both knew how to help others before helping themselves, offering too much of themselves and putting up a strong front so no one would know that they also needed someone to cling to.
Kyo needed someone like Yuchi: shameless in his squishier, more emotional parts, the type to burst into tears as he watched a sad movie, the kind to tell his friends they were his soul mates and cry over the love he spread so easily but never thinly among them. He needed someone sweet, someone sincere and honest, someone who let the emotions Kyo was feeling deep inside himself out into the world so Kyo could follow with his own.
Or: Kyo and Yuchi take Punchuma for walkies! Also, they talk in depth about repression, dysphoria, shame, love, and past relationships.
