Summary
In Jaskier’s defense, the first time he does it is because Geralt is outdoing himself in dickish behavior and had it coming.
It’s a lesson in actions and consequences, really.
A few whispers of witchers only liking well-toasted bread because Geralt hates the way crumbs get everywhere was a fair and just punishment. He’d felt very satisfied watching the tiniest little twist of Geralt’s mouth as he’d brushed crumbs from his shirt with the closest he got to fussy behavior.
At the end of the day, Jaskier had gone to bed feeling very righteous and avenged for being dunked into a watering trough on an erroneous charge of chasing the wrong skirt and getting them both in trouble.
(He had chased a pair of trousers, thank you very much).
(Jaskier starts spreading rumors about witchers out of revenge) (it somehow becomes for good)

Summary
It was the smallest things, however, about the bar that made it feel slightly left of field. As if there was a constant shadow in the corner of his eye. Every time he turned to look it would vanish and then flash away from his thoughts without consequence.
Strange people came to the Inn and Hob thought that perhaps they were similar to him in ways he couldn’t voice. They felt more like the stranger though, but looked at him with hopeful hungry eyes. Hob wasn’t sure what he was meant to give them. In the end, he beamed a smile, offered them hospitality and figured that would just have to do for now.
