Summary
In another world, had she taken a different path, Ciri may very well have ended up as a sorceress. However, she did not. She's a witcher now, and as a witcher, she rarely finds herself crossing paths with them. With her history, that's probably for the best.
The tricky thing about history, though, is that it never stays buried when you want it to. Eventually, she and Triss were always going to cross paths again. How will the sorceress, who had been so dead-set against her becoming a witcher in the first place, react when she learns that Ciri had done exactly that?

It was simply an off-hand comment, an unimportant debate between strength versus experience. Ashur hadn't meant for it to lead to a challenge, nor the bet he made as a result. Yet here he is, Tarquin's hand grasped firmly in his as he tries to leverage it down toward the table. It becomes all he can do to concentrate on the match as Tarquin coaches him, guiding him in his movements. He hadn't expected to be so affected by Tarquin's words, by this tone of voice, but soon he finds all he wants is to hear it again.
