Summary

Summary
Two glassy blue eyes look down at Shiro from the bed of the pickup truck. The dog is huge, white and dove gray markings reminiscent of a wolf, and a thick coat built for the winter to come. Shiro blinks up at the dog, and the dog looks back. He can’t resist:
“Hello there,” Shiro says, friendly.

Shiro begins a new career in the sprawling Alaskan wilderness. He expects to fly. He doesn't expect to fall in love.

Summary
Keith had always had a funny relationship with herself and understanding.
She never knew what form to tick when asked what she was. Japanese, Korean, Diné, Mixed (Other) - when she’d never felt connected to any. What she was, she thought, was a boy in the world in a desert in a shack. She’d always felt a keener understanding with the coyote in the valleys, or the red dust on her jacket than she did with whatever was on her birth certificate.
But then the shack disappeared. And the desert too. The world was quick to follow, and well - well Keith thought, maybe the boy wasn’t right either.
or, Keith, Allura, and several plants grow together in the depths of space.

Summary
After twelve years of illness, heartache, and missed chances, Keith and Shiro have finally found their way back to one another.
Keith Kogane has loved Takashi Shirogane in some form or another for almost half his life.
Somehow, it's this truth above all others that flashes through his mind as he follows Shiro into bed for the first time, as he crawls on top of him and kisses lips he'd once given up hope of ever tasting, as he rises up on his knees to fumble with the buttons and clasps that stand between him and Shiro's desire-flushed skin. Maybe he should be thinking about the upcoming battle or the hurt that separated them for deca-phoebs or the fear of losing Shiro that still haunts his every step, but as he slides a hand up Shiro's clothed thigh, this truth - this overwhelming love he still carries for the beautifully flawed man beneath him - is all that matters.
This is an interlude set after chapter 16 of In Sunshine and in Shadow, but it works as a stand-alone piece as well.
