jay pouted, which seemed to be enough of an answer. "well, good thing you caught me when you did. nobody uses these roads anymore.”
that seemed to snap jay from his stupor. “say what now?”

At this stage in Changbin’s life, it's still mostly Minho looking out for him, but there's something touching about seeing it work the other way around, even if it’s for the pathetic human who lives above them.
Minho shrugs. “What we’ve been doing. It seems if the human needs help, he knows to come to us.” He pauses, adds an ironic smile. “We’re welcoming.”
“You like him, too,” Changbin insists. “Otherwise you would have told him to get lost by now. Just—feels like there's more we could do than wait for him to come to us.”
And there is, Minho supposes—but that might be getting too close to the human, which is a bad idea by any metric.
Or: Minho's broken two-being coven has a human wriggle its way into their midst.

He’s hungry a lot, despite the bounty of food—Seungmin says that having blood drained takes a lot of a human’s energy, so he’s probably quite a bit thinner than he ought to be.
“We could… get another human?” Hyunjin spitballs, though he says it uncertainly.
“Just—where do we find a human?”
Minho blinks, pensive but also going foggy from Chan’s affections. “Put out an ad?” he suggests.

Or, Jake has a problem, and Jay doesn't think he can handle another disappointed-mom look from the stylist noonas as they desperately try to cover up all the bite marks and bruises he accumulates because he can't seem to just say no to his spoiled puppy of a boyfriend. But finally, one night he thinks of a genius alternative!
His lower back, self-dignity, and somehow his wallet all hate him for it. But that was just the price of true love sometimes, you know?
(Jay also finds out that when Jake can't bite, he'll find other ways to make Jay's life hard. Because why wouldn't he?)
