    “It was infuriating,” Akechi grunted in one of the many conversations they shared over some mocktails before their confrontation with Maruki. “My reputation as the Detective Prince, my revenge against Shido…” He stared at the palm of his hands before closing his fist. “Everything I built crumbling before my eyes, all because of you.”

    “Keyword successfully entered. Beginning navigation.” the EMMA app announced back then, pulling Ren into the Metaverse once more.
