Labyrinth can hear the implied ‘to me’ as clearly as if Aguiar had said it out loud. He finds himself endeared by that, despite himself. And had he been in a better state, he would’ve laughed. Maybe. “You sound very confident about that.”
“I am. You wanna know why?”
“Do tell.”
Aguiar smiles wider, exposing more teeth as he looms over Labyrinth. Almost predatory, although the obvious, fond amusement in his pupils softens the effect quite a bit. All bark. Adorable. “Because I know your blood doesn’t sing for hers. Not like it does for mine.”

Summary
Labyrinth — the vessel — knows lots of things. One might say too much. Yet most of it is locked away under layers and layers of static-fog, frustratingly slow to unravel.
‘Labyrinth’ — the reluctant pilot — doesn’t know much at the moment. Exhaustion and ache set forth in this body’s muscles and nerves, heavy and slow and sluggish. He blinks up at the sky, dark, speckled with stars long since dead. Blinking spots without constellations, drifting thoughts without connections.
He is a ghost inside a flesh machine, unprepared for the kinks and bugs that came with it.

Summary
Après qu'une défaite cuisante contre un mystérieux golem ait disséminé le groupe aux quatre vents, Enoriel se retrouve seul en terra incognita. Et quand une faune locale modifiée par des siècles d'exposition à une magie antique rencontre un Narrateur bien décidé à lui faire vivre un enfer, retrouver les autres devient beaucoup plus ardu que prévu.
Mais Enoriel s'accroche, encore et encore, parce que c'est ce qu'il sait faire de mieux. (Il regarde le ciel, et il rêve de voler.)

Un point neutre. Un refuge pour certains, un enfer pour d’autres. La station de tous les possibles mais aussi de tous les risques, pile à la limite entre les deux plus grandes puissances politiques et militaires de la galaxie.
L'endroit parfait pour repartir à zéro.
