Summary
Occasionally he’d glance up, catch Lance watching, and he’d smile, soft and private in a way that was growing increasingly more common as his self—imposed distance fell away with time, the more his hands reached for others to hold onto, let himself be touched, kisses on his head and cheek. Lance would feel that familiar heat licking at his cheeks, his neck, and he’d go back to paying attention to the speaker, entirely aware of Keith’s eyes tracing his face, his posture.
So.
Yeah.
Things had been different. Not bad. But different.
But god help him, the curiosity was killing him.
----
Or, Keith keeps drawing things on papers, and Lance is going insane.

Summary
He raises his head, expecting to see the heavens above him. He wants to take in the freshly healed scar of the newly collapsed Rigel star system. Wants to know how the blazing lights of thousands of planets worth of warfare looks set against the familiar earth sky. He think he might look at the constellations, like he did not far from here a hundred years ago, tucked into his dads strong, solid arms, the scratch of a stubbly chin accompanying a moving mouth as it named Orion, Cassiopeia, Gemini.
He looks up expecting to see stars, and instead he sees the sun.

Summary
Her eyes stare unseeing at the blank expanse of space where her home once was, the gaping void nothing compared to the one in her throat.
She walks in the night, she paces like a ghost at night on the bridge, her fingers shaky as she watches, obsessive, planetary maps.
Allura wakes up, and Allura is alone.

Allura relearns how to be a leader and a friend

Summary
Keith has no ties to Earth anymore, his mom is with the Blades, his newly-appointed team all depended on him, Hunk would go on his cuisine explorations and while Pidge and Shiro stayed at the Garrison, they always encouraged Keith to go on his own.
And, let’s face it, Lance is not a good enough reason to stay.

Summary
“I’d be a shit boyfriend,” Keith says, begging Lance to see what’s in front of him. The problem’s always Keith, his inner workings displacing him just to the left of everyone else—a Venn diagram of Keith versus others that slides further apart with every new data point until it’s just two circles. “I don’t care about dating stuff. And I can’t—you know how I am.”
“Yeah, I like how you are,” Lance says.
“And I care a lot about you,” Keith shoots off like an accusation. “We can be boyfriends if you want because it doesn’t matter to me. Dating’s even farther off my radar than sex was.”
—
After spontaneously hooking up at Keith's request, they start dating for real at Lance's. What could go wrong? Everything, Keith's sure, but he'll do his best for Lance. Snapshots spanning Keith's first relationship, with Lance, during a space war.Series

Summary
“Hey, you free tonight? There’s a party I’m gonna be at, and, well, I was hoping you’d come out? I can send you the location.”
Keith coughed. “Uh, I—”
“Yeah?” Lance prompted, playful, expectant.
“Yeah—Yeah.”
“Soooo, 9:30?”
“...I can do that.”
Keith and Lance fall in love, propose, marry, and build a home together. But, just not in that order.

Summary
“I already told you, I don’t have hypothermia,” Lance says. “I’m okay. I’m just really, really cold.”
Keith raises an eyebrow. “What do you think hypothermia is?”
“Oh, don’t get all technical. I—”
His body betrays him by breaking out into another fit of shivers, so violent they leave him dizzy, his vision dark at the edges.
It knocks most of the fight out of him, and he sits there for a moment, feeling miserable and pathetic.
“Look,” Keith says, his voice low and infuriatingly kind, “you can drop the act. I know you. I can tell when you’re not okay.”
Lance stares at him, feeling exposed and cut to the bone.
“I could get better on my own,” he says.
“You won’t,” Keith tells him bluntly. “Not unless you let me help you.”
---
Getting stranded in a cave during a blizzard is bad. Having to rely on Keith Kogane for warmth is… complicated. Lance survives the night. Figuring out what it meant is another story.
