“She did not,” Merlin said and held up the two papers in front of him, “but I marked down the page. She said something about him ‘frogging around’ the issue and, ‘having no leg to stand on’, it was difficult to see how he could ‘jump to such conclusions’.”
Gwaine guffawed and laid down again, his armour clanking as he began to tug on the buckles. “So, she called him a legless toad.”

Summary

He agrees to a political marriage with Merlin, the young leader of the Druids, in order to secure Camelot's future and to ally himself with the one person who might be able to defeat Morgana. A marriage of convenience soon starts to become something more, and Arthur finds himself learning things about himself and his kingdom he would never have imagined, while forging a genuine connection with someone who seems to truly understand him.
