Mikey stands up shakily, rubbing at his eyes. He still can't see whatever is there, and the sudden dread that hits him like a bucket of ice water poured over his head isn't making him want to. He walks toward it anyway, eyes wide as the electricity and screaming get louder and louder. He reaches the desk and leans his head over.

As he diced the onions, she could tell just by looking at him that he was a lot happier than he had been.
She figured this meant that everything about him had been addressed.
But as he scooped up the onions and placed them in the pan, she noticed an odd red mark on his arm. Looking closer, it almost blended in, but a decently healed cut sat plainly on the side of his wrist. Her heart nearly jumped in her throat when she saw how close it was to his veins, to his wrist, but she pushed the thought away. He’d never do that… right?
