Summary
“Oh, eggs? Are we talking about breakfast foods?”
The source of the voice is a boy around their age. He’s handsome, and Akechi hates how that’s the first thought he has about him. But he is: he has curly black hair, striking dark eyes, and a charming devil-may-care grin. The second thing Akechi clocks is that he’s not dressed like a student– and he clearly knows how to clean up nicely– he wears a long gray trench coat over what seems to be a crisp white button-up and black dress pants. The coat flatters his eyes, Akechi thinks absently.
The third thing is more of a realization: this very handsome boy is talking to them about fucking eggs.
What the fuck.
“If you’ll excuse me,” Akechi says, slowly and carefully, “I believe we haven’t met before."
An Arcana Swap AU rewrite of the June 9th-10th TV studio field trip. Goro Akechi is a prodigy orphan turned Phantom Thief leader, Ren Amamiya is the teenage detective turned supernatural hitman, and their game of cat-and-mouse begins with a conversation about eggs.

"Maybe instead of... trying to kill Anne, or whatever, you could... talk to her about it?"
Sasha wondered how much brute force it would take to cause this cave to collapse in on itself and put her out of her misery. She sighed. "Like I said, Sprout, you don't get to have an opinion on this. It's complicated."
Sprig shrugged and pulled down on his hat. "I really don't think it's that complicated."
"Well, I think you're not thinking at all. Can we try to get out of here already?" Sasha snapped.

Summary
Three months after Belos is defeated, when Darius asks Hunter to stop growing up so fast and just be a normal kid for once, Hunter isn't sure where to start. He enlists Luz's help, and with the power of stereotypical cheesy teen movies, they create a bucket list and race each other to finish it first. It turns out that Darius was right-- having a childhood was supposed to be fun, and his friends are there to teach him how.
Or: Hunter & the Hexsquad do silly goofy teenager stuff and have some nice heart-to-heart chats. Fluff + some light Hunter angst, mostly gen but some huntlow sprinkled in (& background canon ships ofc)

Summary
She’s a performer. She’s a magician. And she’s good at it. She knows how to get people to see a cheerfulness that’s not there, a smile that’s real and not a trick, or how to dazzle and sparkle and fold up the parts of herself she wants to hide. Make them believe in something that’s not there. Make them think they’re not seeing what they actually are. So when she smiles up at her Dad, tells him she’s always wanted a new mommy so she’s glad she’s always had one all along, her Dad ruffles her hair and smiles back. “I’m glad at least you’re happy about it, Truce,” he tells her, shifting his attention and ire towards Apollo.
Apollo is looking at her.
Trucy smiles at him, her best stage smile with all the dazzle and pizzazz she can manage.
He does not smile back.
Or: Phoenix tells Trucy and Apollo that they're half-siblings after hiding it from them for three years. Apollo tries his best to be a supportive brother, and Trucy can't bottle up her emotions any longer.

Summary
She watches Caleb’s mouth curl upwards into an almost-smile, so close , she thinks, and before he can tell her to go draw dicks in someone else’s spellbook she sits down cross-legged in front of him. Too bad for him if he wants to have some peace and quiet for himself, she decides. He’s traveling with Jester Lavorre. Peace and quiet was never an option.
She’s watching his face, now. “Hi, Jester,” he says slowly. He’s clearly still embarrassed, and she clearly needs to diffuse even more.
“Hi, Caleb.” She leans forward and waggles her eyebrows some more. “What are you thinking about, Caleb, all alone in the dark~ ?”

Summary
Futaba closes the door again for some thinking time. That was Goro Akechi on her doorstep. Well, on Sojiro’s doorstep, but Sojiro’s not here. Only Futaba is here.
Open door. Peep round it. Akechi is a sort of heap on the step. Asleep? Or… possibly dead? Dead mom-killing ex-detective on Futaba’s doorstep? Didn’t he die four years ago? How is he here? Futaba hasn’t slept. Or eaten. She shouldn’t have to deal with this. What do you even do with a murder-detective possibly-corpse? She closes the door.
Okay, no, she can’t just ignore him and hope he goes away.
Well, she could though. It’s super super tempting.
No, come on. What would Ren do? What would Sojiro do?
What would Mom do?

Summary
“You okay?” Akira asked.
“Nope,” Futaba said, because honesty was easier and Akira made people honest.
Morgana made a little noise of concern.
“Yeah,” Akira agreed. “Same.”
Morgana made another noise of concern.
“Cool,” said Futaba. And then she wished fiercely for a moment that Morgana was not in the room with them, because if she didn’t tell someone about the thing she had learned she was going to explode, and Akira alone would only make it a big deal if she wanted it to be, but if both him and Morgana knew then everyone would.

Summary
She supposed it had been flattering, the way that one of the hosts she’d spoken to had tried to offer her a job, telling her that “a handsome guy like you would draw in customers no problem!” It had warmed her to hear that her disguise was working, and she’d had to fight a small smile from spreading and ruining her professionalism for about an hour.
There had been a sweet drunk woman, too, throwing an arm around Naoto’s shoulders and trying to coax her into joining her and her friends’ bar crawl. She’d tensed up at the sudden contact, but it had certainly been a novel experience having a woman give him her number assuming he- she- was a man. Even though Naoto was pretty definitively not single, it was still quite fun to know that she made an attractive man.

Summary
“Picture their joy when you tell them you have discovered a way back. That they can save their families.”
Hunter covers his head with a blanket, trying not to conjure up that image. Luz and Gus hugging him, excited. The Captain’s eyes gleaming, Amity giving him a reluctant but appreciative nod. Going back to the world where the sky is the right color and the rain needs to be avoided at all costs.
“Just imagine being useful for once,” the shadow adds because Belos was never very subtle, was he.(My gentle reader, I bestow upon thee the horrors of job interviews that go very poorly, an infinite sleepover in an overcrowded house, and awkward attempts at romance. Oh, and demonic possession. That too.)

Summary
Of course, he isn’t the type to hold onto vain idealistic hopes. He knew this moment would come eventually, he’s even started drafting a mental plan for encountering each of the Thieves, pondering the exact things to say to push all their buttons and make sure they never contacted him again. I killed your mother, I killed your father, I deceived your sister, I shot you in the head twice, all the classics, all the hits.
He just never considered Yoshizawa could be the first to find him, much less that she’d be staring at him outside a physiotherapy clinic with a look a little in between “witnessing the wonders of nature” and “being held at gunpoint”.

Or: two years after the collapse of Maruki’s reality, Akechi tutors Sumire in philosophy in exchange for not telling anyone he’s alive. It goes about as well as you’d expect.
