Summary
When Ren Amamiya, an orphan, tries to stop a man from sexually abusing her, she is wrongfully accused of assault when the man falls down and hurts himself. Before long she learns about the Metaverse; a way to get back at the man who ruined her life. But someone seems to be pulling the strings behind it all. Not only that, but it seems her late sister is also a part of the puzzle.
Not only that, but something seems to be dragging the Investigation Team/S.E.E.S. out of retirement...

Summary
Sadayo Kawakami has been working Shinjuku since before the world was reborn, struggling against debt and exploitation. She's eked out an okay life, if one that has her dealing with the best and worst of humanity, because they all want to be wanted. And when she's Becky, they get everything they need. And she gets paid. And she's okay with that.
She's a lot less okay with how the rest of Shinjuku gets treated but what can one whore do about it? Not a whole lot. Not when she has a mountain of debts, a boss who wants everything from her: her time, her body, her obedience. At least all the plants are back and food is available. Food's the only concern gone from living now. The rest isn't.
A Persona 5 AU, set years after the end Ecological Succession featuring Sadayo Kawakami plumbing the hearts of the evil and wielding the power of the Archetype to do so. A fic focusing on the dignity of labor in a world that should be post-scarcity, the clawing grip of capitalism and how it won't go peacefully, and that everyone should have a chance to have affection in their lives, regardless of cirumstance.

Ren Amamiya is just your average high school girl. Until one day, she gets arrested because some slimeball insisted that she assaulted him. To get away from it all, her parents send her to Tokyo. However, on her way there, she sees a vision of a figure in a cloak, claiming to be a manifestation of chaos. The figure offers her power, but Ren chooses to stand against them. Now Ren is presented with the task of stopping the figure before chaos reigns over Japan.

Everything was going well until one of the dancers on the floor bumped into him which had him crash into another person who quickly grabbed a hold of his arm to steady him.
Regaining his footing he looks up to the person that steadied him and was about to apologize and thank them but the words died in his throat. Staring back at him was a face that he thought he would never see again. He quickly takes a step back and walks away hurriedly through the crowd.
The lights in the club didn’t let him see very well but that face was one he would recognize anywhere. Someone who haunted his dreams and even his waking self. Someone who he could swear he’s seen out of the corner of his eyes again and again when he was out and about. But he was dead, Ren had watched him die right there, in front of him.

So why was he dreaming about coffee shop that had no coffee in it, run by a decrepit old man with an impossibly long nose? And why was the old man telling him his fortune? And why did he feel like it wasn't as simple as just a dream, when the world outside that coffee shop looked so much like when the world had gone mad, at Christmas?
He had far too much going on in his life to consider these questions. (That was a lie.)

Ryuji thinks she's a girl at first glance. She's tall and slender, slinking towards the dance floor, but the way she's illuminated by the dim lights tells Ryuji she's not. Her shoulders are a little too broad, her hips are a touch too narrow.
But still.
Damn.

Day Two: Post-Canon / Jealousy
This is unbelievably childish, and Goro knows it. Akira has his own life, and his own friends, and his own priorities. Just because they're actively fucking now doesn't mean the man owes him anything. It definitely doesn't mean the man owes him monogamy, especially when they're literally not… anything. Friends, maybe.
And friendship is all Goro deserves from him, frankly. Nearly four months of this, and he still hasn't really come to terms with the fact that Akira allows intimacy between them.
So, the fact that he's sitting here, practically steaming out the ears at the idea that Akira is, likely right at this moment, out at a bar chatting up strangers in the hopes of finding someone suitably pleasant who will take him home and treat him like a fucking princess, is… predictable. And stupid. And immature.
If Goro could burn down every bar in this damn metropolis with his mind, he would do it.

“Welcome, sir! What can I get for you?” Ren asks in a shrill voice he’s put on. Perhaps strangling his boyfriend instead would suffice.
Goro just gawks for a few moments. And a few more, and up until Ren just bursts out laughing, he hadn’t even realised he was stuck in a trance. Methodically, he slides into a barstool, head staring down at the polished wooden counter.
This… this is what Ren wanted, huh…? To absolutely ruin Goro—
“You know, I didn’t expect you to be this stunned.” Ren murmurs, and Goro finally regains the neck strength to glare at him. His smug smile only grows.
or: ren invites goro to crossroads while he’s working, but somehow forgets to tell his boyfriend he’s going to be wearing drag while on the job. this doesn’t go over well with goro’s sanity.
