Aizawa feels like he keeps missing a step. He shouldn't have been oblivious to it when it started, let alone after the war. There was never any doubt in his mind that he failed these kids, certainly not after he put them on the front lines of the battlefield. But he could never imagine just how much he failed this particular one. More than he even knew.

"Getting ready, what does it look like?" Katsuki gives back, biting back a smile because he knows his answer is not giving Hitoshi anything.
"For what?" Hitoshi goes on, still as confused as before and now Katsuki smirks at him.
"What do you think?"
"I don't know, that's why I'm asking, Kats!" he heatedly says, throwing his hands up in the air and Katsuki laughs at him.
"I'm leaving for the last endeavour I'll ever go on," Katsuki dramatically says, though he can't deny that there's a pit of worry in his stomach.
He doesn't think today will go wrong, but there's still a chance that it might and that makes Katsuki's hands itchy.
