Shortly after the reported death of Sonic the Hedgehog, Agent Shadow disappeared during an active mission.
Only static followed. No recovery signal detected. No remains located. Agent Shadow was MIA.
Following Sonic the Hedgehog’s reappearance, the Ultimate Lifeform did not resurface. Subsequent actions by the Eggman Empire resulted in the dismantling of G.U.N. infrastructure, so all remaining mission records, tracking data, and archival references to Agent Shadow’s last known position were lost or rendered inaccessible. Search operations continued independently, thanks to the efforts of the Resistance... Done by the people who, above all else, think of him as their friend. When all known bases and active battlefields were cleared with no results, those closest to him began to suspect the worst.
That all changed on the final day of the war. Coinciding with the defeat of Dr. Eggman and the neutralization of Infinite... Shadow the Hedgehog was found.
...He smelt of flowers.

After a few more minutes of theatrics, she sets the drinks down on the bar. When Sonic goes for his wallet in his pocket, she waves him off with a, "It's on the house. Congrats on your win!" Then she looks behind him, "You too, second isn't bad at all."
Sonic feels Scourge take a deep breath behind him before his body rattles with laughter. He leans over Sonic completely, cornering him against the bar as he places his hands on either side. "Thanks, sweetheart," He winks at the woman and grabs he and Sonic's drinks, leaving Sonic to pinch the stems of Rouge and Amy's. Finally, Scourge takes his weight off of Sonic and heads to the back area, Sonic trailing behind, back feeling suddenly cold.
