Summary
So that’s how Hayden found himself in Shane’s hospital room with Rozanov, JJ, and Shane’s parents, Yuna and David. Shane seemed to have managed to fall asleep despite all of the commotion, his eyes shut like he hadn’t a care in the world, like he didn’t have a concussion and broken collarbone and his archrival wasn’t currently in the room with him. Hayden was thankful for whatever painkillers they had him on to allow him to sleep so soundly.
Rozanov was glancing between the four of them, the doorway, and the single window in the room, his body language guarded. Maybe he was trying to figure out if he could jump out the window and survive a fall from the fourth floor, since they were actively blocking his only other exit out of the room.
“So, you are going to tell us, yes?” JJ said through gritted teeth. “What you were doing with Hollander.”

Yet another fic where Shane high on painkillers terrorizes his loved ones, especially Ilya Rozanov. But even while high, he does pose an important question: is there any reason to hate Ilya, the person, as opposed to Rozanov, the hockey player? Does anyone other than him even know Ilya well enough to really hate him?

Hayden brings the phone back to his own ear.
“He can’t hear you, man, he’s freaking out.”
There’s shuffling on Rozanov’s end, then, very distinctly, he says, “Put me on speakerphone.”
Or: Shane finds out about the plane malfunction just a tad too late. Featuring: breakdowns in the locker room, Ilya's love put on blast, and Comeau being the canonical dick we all know him to be.

“Is to… mess with Hollander’s head,” Rozanov says. “Yes. I break into his house and leave Bears clothes in his wardrobe. Take his boring fucking hockey books. Makes him go crazy.” He sort of waves the hoodie that he’s holding around, showing the Boston logo on it.
“Man, that is low.” J. J. sounds somewhat impressed.
