Summary
A collection of all my Heated Rivalry fic to make it easier to find. Please notice that I update the order a lot because I'm not always writing them chronologically!
Originally, these stories weren't intended to fit together, but they (mostly) do, so now I consider this a sort of miniverse of its own. There may be a few minor inconsistencies here and there, but I generally try to make them work. You will encounter Megan Rapinoe. You will see the same OCs in multiple fics. You will get to journey with them from pre-series to beyond the events established in canon (as of Jan 2026 when Unrivaled has not yet been published).

Summary
“Come on,” Comeau says. “Are we all just supposed to pretend it's normal that you’re still playing house with Ilya Rozanov?”
“Gil—” J.J. says, but Shane doesn’t want him to finish that sentence, to pull Comeau gently off the ledge he’s steering himself toward. Shane wants to push him, kicking and screaming, to make them say it to his fucking face. That after all this time, they still hate him for the heinous crime of falling in love.
“We’ve been married for two years,” Shane says. “I’m not sure that qualifies as playing house. I mean, it’s longer than you were with your first wife, isn’t it?”
Or: Shane reunites with his former teammates at J.J.'s bachelor party. He's finally ready to say (and maybe punch) his piece.

He goes to the fridge to look for the bell peppers, and while he’s in there, he says, “It was a good first kiss. As far as I could tell. I hadn’t really kissed anyone before.” He takes an orange bell pepper from the bag his mom brought over and brings it over to the counter. “Not anyone I really wanted to kiss anyway.” He cuts the top and bottom off the pepper and then works on cutting out the seeds. “Ilya’s a good kisser,” he adds. And he can’t believe he’s just said that out loud to his mom.

This makes sense to her as it's always made sense to Shane, and he's never been sorry to have a mom who doesn't fuss over his suffering for sport the way Jackie fusses over Hayden sometimes. He has always taken it for granted, maybe: that hockey comes first. That everything in the world should bend to the breaking point if it serves hockey.
