Summary
When one explosion goes off, no matter how small, another follows. And another, and another.
The fuse that's been lit is connected to a whole line of bombs. Alone, they are not much. But they line the foundations of life on Bygone Island and there are many of them. Some of them have already blown up, some are still a long ways off from igniting. But now, the main event is on it's way. It won't be long before everything spirals downhill, before everything collapses under their feet.
Sonic quitting wasn't the match that lit the fuse, but it's the bomb that's unstabilized everything they've built.
They can only hope what remains of Team Sonic can stay afloat as their burning ship sinks under the torrent.

Summary
The walls are covered in paintings of a single place. They wrap around the whole space, like one long artwork. A panorama of the location the painter must miss so much. A panorama of what must be their home.
And Sonic recognizes that place in the paintings. The greens are faded, the shapes difficult to make out with only the light Tails holds, the odd patterned earth hard to make out against the cave rock. But Sonic recognizes it clear as day.
It's the place from his dreams. The place he's never seen before. The place that might be his home.
Sonic and his team discover an old cavern after a fight with Dr. Eggman causes the ground to collapse beneath their feet. It holds the history of someone possibly long gone, and the walls are painted with their past.
Sonic doesn't know what to think when everything feels familiar to him. Feels like he belongs there.
This just might be the sign he's been waiting for. He's just not quite sure yet.

Summary
Sonic didn’t say a word in response. The remorseful smile he forced to his face, the reaction he fabricated, came easily to him. And finally, he spoke.
“You’re right. I let all this destruction happen. A hero would have stopped it before it could happen in the first place. I’m no hero.”
If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound? If an explosion goes off and no one can hear it, did the explosion ever happen?
Sonic knows the answer, and the answer is that people are simply deaf by choice. And if no one can hear, there’s always other ways to get a message across.

Summary
There was something wrong with Sonic.
It started small, forgotten details, little things that slipped his mind. Then the memories became blurred, whole days lost. After that came the episodes where he became so unresponsive that he couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. And one day, he couldn’t breathe.
There was something terrifyingly wrong.
His friends could see it happening, worrying more each day. But to Sonic, he had no idea anything was even wrong.
