If someone were to ever tell me that love is a lie, I'd show them this. Yuuji and Satoru are a lot more alike than they might think, the silent, repressed care and longing that destroys them both, and yet, they don't dare to reach.
Yuuta and others take it up into their hands to help them out, even if he get a bit too close to getting a hollow purple into his face for his charade.
All that matters is... things get worse before they get better, but they do, and they finally see each other as it is, with no misunderstandings or repressed feelings.
I felt like I was suffocating as I read. Slowly, like hands that crawl into your chest and push past your ribs, grip your heart and lungs in a heavy hold. This isn't just words, it's emotions that scream, whisper, make you want to claw out your insides from how much you feel...

He takes a deep breath in. Grave dirt, wet and loamy, and something green cut too short too young.
Yuuta-senpai.
Beside him, the couch dips with the weight of a body. Yuuji doesn’t have the energy to greet him, so they sit in silence. Yuuta-senpai doesn’t seem to mind.
“Long day?” A hoarse voice asks beside him after long enough for Yuuji to lose track, and really, he could ask the same right back. Yuuta-senpai sounds as tired as he feels.

Post-canon, Yuuta and Yuuji are both windswept and worn, burdened by the weight of their new responsibilities and unwilling to shirk the duty their power demands of them. In the midst of it all, they find each other.

Stephen's already explained that there was no way to bring someone back to life with them. Bringing back half the universe was easy, as they hadn't been dead, merely... hidden away for a while.
He would die, he thinks, if he tried.

Lord, please let erase my memory so I can read this one more time 🙏 I cannot explain in words how much I love the bond between Peter and Tony. Everyone always underestimates what pete would do for him, but I love it when he breaks that stereotype and just says fuck you, because Tony Stark deserved to live and no way he's dying on his watch. Two bastards with self-sacrificing tendencies, and yet, either it's two of them alive, or none at all. This is such a sick codependency but I savour it as much as I can because it's like breathing in pure angst – they'd do anything for each other... 🥹

Satoru takes another step forwards, arms spreading wide in excitement, “Yūji-kun! You’re here!”
“Oh my God,” the child repeats breathlessly, sounding far older than any child his age should sound, unable to tear his eyes away from Satoru. The boy shakes faintly, shock maybe, words a shaky exhale, “it’s really- you’re- you look- this is— oh my God!”
Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
Clearly those vivid dreams of war, imprisonment and eleven years of growing up is not the dream Satoru had thought it to be since waking up in the infirmary as a seventeen-year-old student, way back before the source of all his problems defected from Jujutsu society.

When thrown back 11 or so years back into the past, Satoru Gojo and little baby Itadori Yuuji make most of the accidental time travel to save their doomed world.
And, well, it's only natural that PapaToru and MamaGuru adopt 5 kids and bring a bit of warmth to the lonely (or traumatised) kids! Family shenanigans ensue.
An amazing first introduction to SatoSugu in fics, even though I was originally reading for sassy baby Yuuji! :D
