Summary
When Rokuta wouldn't settle down for anyone but Tanjiro, he and Nezuko swapped places on that fateful day. However, when the first thing he saw upon entering their household was Tanjiro, with his red eyes and red hair and hanafuda earrings, he quickly gave into his sadistic need for revenge against a man long dead.
Tanjiro was turned into a demon, and Muzan let the rest of his family live. He was sure that the boy would wake up and devour everyone, thoroughly sullying Yoriichi's legacy. Tanjiro did no such thing. Tomioka Giyu did not pay a visit to the Kamado family until well over a year later, and with these small but significant differences, everything changed.

Douma truly thought he'd met his end when he faced Shinobu in the final battle, body melting away as poison destroyed him from the inside out. Then he opened his eyes once more, returned to the body of a human child, and was certain that he'd been proven wrong. Hell did exist, and now he was living in it.
It was not until Muzan came to him once more with an offer he would never refuse, completely oblivious to who Douma was, that he realized he wasn't dead. He had been given a second chance, and he was not going to waste it.
Things would end differently this time. Douma would make sure of it.
