Summary
As a god, seeing the death of mortals is no stranger to Poseidon.
He had been there ever since humans were still nomadic and hunting for survival. Death came quickly for mortals, and to be honest, Poseidon never cared much about it.
Poseidon was a god, and gods were immortal. Especially with his position as the Big Three on Olympus and Lord of the Seas, death was not something serious that he needed to worry about so soon. Roughly speaking, he would never even die.
So, why would a Great and Mighty Poseidon think about something called 'death'?
However, the moment his eyes looked into the pale sea-green eyes of his son, Percy Jackson, Poseidon knew that his perspective had changed.
Percy Jackson was a mortal man. Mortal means not immortal, and that meant that one day Percy Jackson would die.
The God had already fallen in love with his little son, and Poseidon didn't know how to continue his life without Percy by his side.

Ichikawa Reno has always been a level-headed person, even when situations push him to the brink. He is calm, quick to learn, and filled with ambition. His ambition to become an important member of the Defense Force is proven by his current achievement—becoming the Numbers Weapon User of Kaiju No. 6, the King of Kaiju who shook Japan in the past.
Sakura Haruka has always been a fiery person, even if many people put him on the edge, his fists will stop at nothing to crush the enemy. He is firm, strong, and filled with determination. His determination to become the strongest in Furin High School is slowly being achieved—starting with becoming the Captain of Class 1-1 which is filled with the strongest fighters in his age.
Ichikawa Reno and Sakura Haruka are strong people. They will do anything to protect their friends and fellow comrades-in-arms.
There was only one problem; the Ichikawa-Sakura siblings had never been people who could share their burdens with others.
What an imperfect perfectionist.

Summary
Sebagai dewa, melihat kematian para makhluk fana bukanlah hal yang asing untuk Poseidon.
Dia sudah ada di sana semenjak manusia masihlah hidup berpindah-pindah dan berburu untuk bertahan hidup. Kematian begitu cepat datang bagi kaum manusia, dan sejujurnya, Poseidon tidak pernah terlalu mempedulikannya.
Poseidon adalah dewa, dan dewa itu abadi. Apalagi dengan posisinya sebagai Tiga Besar di Olympus dan Penguasa Lautan, kematian bukanlah sesuatu hal serius yang perlu ia khawatirkan begitu cepat. Secara kasar, dia bahkan tidak akan pernah mati.
Jadi, untuk apa seorang Poseidon yang Agung dan Perkasa memikirkan sesuatu hal bernama ‘kematian’?
Namun, pada saat matanya melihat ke mata hijau laut yang memucat milik putranya, Percy Jackson, detik itu juga Poseidon tahu bahwa pandangannya berubah.
Percy Jackson adalah seorang manusia fana. Fana berarti tidak abadi, dan itu berarti suatu saat Percy Jackson akan mati.
Sang Dewa sudah telanjur jatuh dalam cinta terhadap putra kecilnya, dan Poseidon tidak tahu bagaimana caranya untuk melanjutkan hidupnya nanti tanpa kehadiran Percy di sisinya.
