The fire beside them spits green and teal, a confirmation of what he already knew, her magic being a strength in more ways than one. Elphaba’s eyes are dark with desire and something else – something almost playful - as they devour him in a way that makes his brain falter, mind crackling like static.

This one is not the most painful. It may also not be the most egregious. Initially, he didn’t even see it as that bad. But it is definitely somewhere along the lines of being the worst.
Mo Ran takes his leave, politely rejecting the girl one last time. He steps back out into the bustling streets and Chu Wanning huffs in satisfaction. But he quickly realizes something.
Without Chu Wanning’s stoic, icy presence beside him, people are a lot more open about flirting with Mo Ran. They try when Chu Wanning is around too, albeit in a more subtle way. But now that he’s a cat and he’s unable to loom threateningly by Mo Ran’s side, they’re absolutely shameless.

Because now, thanks to the joys of autocorrect, Fiyero's family is somehow under the impression that he's dating Elphaba, and worse, they're expecting her to join him in the Vinkus for Lurlinemas.
Because Elphaba is a great friend, she agrees to go along with the ruse.
It's just like something out of those cheesy, sappy Lurlinemas movies on the Quillark channel that Galinda loves- a couple pretend to be in love. Except those ones always end with the couple falling in love for real. And there's no way that's ever going to happen.
