Summary
As praised as Kaeya is for his performance in these things, sometimes, even his paranoia and incessant planning cannot account for every danger that can occur. So, as he feels that prickle of danger become a very real feeling of pain, burning into his throat and flaring to his chest and stomach, he thinks Ah. The server was offering to Jean.
There is a ball held in Mondstatd every so often and Kaeya can't say he is overly fond of them. The poison, in particular doesn't help.

Papers, wood and a subtle sweetness. Power and kindness. A hearth, his mind gives and he wills the thought away.
"Do you want this?" Nazrik asks, quiet. His thumb rubs circles on knuckles, another hand solidly set on the Mage's hips but light enough to not cage. He feels Emmerich's gaze change to a burning want, his breaths slowing but deep still.
The Mage is slow, hesitant almost, as he pushes his hips into a single agonizing grind and Nazrik's breath hitches, his body tensing as electric shocks of pleasure zip straight to his head and that strength again returns, where not even Nazrik's hold can stop him. "Would you indulge me if I said yes?"
Nazrik comes to the Herdmaster's sleeping hut for answers, running on ragged frustration and anger over the False One, over the God that has caused him grief for so long. He gets a little more than what he came for.

The Cavalry Captain of Mondstatd is abducted in broad daylight during an attack by the Abyss. Master Diluc, having witnessed his family once more taken from him is pushed to confront the rift and truths that has torn them apart.

"An Alberich?" Diluc mutters, connecting dots of what Kaeya has let known about his family. A character of influence and at least of some honor if any of the other pages from the journey have anything to say about it.

He looks up and Kaeya's expression is enough of an answer.
Snippets between Diluc and Kaeya as they go through the Khvarena Quest Line as they find anecdotes of Kaeya's ancestor and a grand and unmoving door that leads to a destroyed nation.

A series of One shots featuring 2 Slytherin MCs. They're twins and they're with Ominis and Sebastian, stuck in the Scriptorium. They (the twins) are stupid and they understand pain more than anyone else and someone has to cast the cruciatus curse.
Mostly an exploration of how events might go depending on whoever may be taking and doing the curse. (Formerly just a comic called "In the Shadow of Poor Decisions" but i've decided to compile the different versions in one fic since its all the same scenarios, just tackled differently.)

“You’re not going.” Diluc declares and Kaeya all but sputters and chokes on the mushroom he was chewing. Diluc at the very least, has the remorse to pour him a cup of water for the surprise.
“And pray tell, what is your reasoning on why I shouldn't?” Kaeya challenges with a squint. On the contrary, he doesn't actually mind all that much, but he can't help but feel slighted at the sudden banning (another part, just wanting to be contrarian to annoy the redhead).

Set in the middle of the archon quest: Bedtime Story, Kaeya is told to stay behind in the serenitea pot with the others because the leyline disruption and Abyss influence seems to have made him feel less than ideal. Diluc is worried and with Lumine's help, they've banded together to use whatever underhanded method to make sure the Cavalry Captain takes care while they're away.

Summary
The young man turns from the tree and it’s almost like he’s surprised to see him. There’s a pull of familiarity that Kaeya feels, stars in his eyes and an earring to his ear and the feeling of sadness so keenly similar to his.
The man observes him before a smile comes to his face and there’s shine of hope in his expression and for an inexplicable reason, Kaeya almost feels sad at the desperate relief that seemed to emmenate from the man. The world breaks for a moment and the young man before him gives a chuckle as he disappears into the air.

During the Vimara Missing Person request, Diluc, Kaeya and other companions accompany Lumine. After meeting Deinsleif and noticing Kaeya wasn't in his best form due to the Leyline disruption, it's decided that Kaeya should stay behind with the others in the teapot realm to rest while the Traveller and her chosen 3 get to the bottom of the mystery.

I have heard tales from around the grape vine that a certain Captain has been running about the area of my estate looking for some scoundrels. As the Knights are inefficient enough, I suggest you give Kaeya work to do and keep him off my property. I heard Albedo is about to set out once again to Dragonspine. I happen to have a need for someone to have a look over the local wine market in Liyue and I'm sure one of your younger knights would prove useful for once to accompany your Cavalry Captain instead of having them limp around causing a ruckus.
I will handle the goings on in and around my estate myself.

Summary
It never occurred to either that after everything, it was never going to be their choice. For all the worrying and fighting Kaeya and Diluc had done, the fear of betrayal between having to choose between the Nation that raised him and the Nation where he reigned, it had never occurred to both them that perhaps, hope and spy meant something else.
A short story in which Kaeya was forced to become a god/vessel to a god and Diluc follows him so he's not alone.

or: The fic where I let Fili punch Thorin and they talk about the self flagellation he does by carrying the guilt brought by the choices made by their forefathers ending in making thorin abdicate. for the pursuit of happiness. An indulgent fic bc i really think fili deserves to be the one to tell Thorin off.
It would be good to read Forge for a heart pt1 first but all you need to know is Fili is the guy who time travels and remembers by will of Aule. This is After the canon where Thorin still got gold sick, Bilbo still leaves.
