Quando Riddle Rosehearts recebeu o convite para estudar na mais prestigiada academia de magia que já existiu, ele acreditou que, finalmente, estava recebendo a oportunidade de fazer tudo aquilo que ele sempre mais ansiou: ser o filho honrado que sua mãe idealizava. Desde o momento que colocou seus pés naquele colégio, ele achava que estava no caminho correto para chegar em seu objetivo. Ele era um aluno modelo, líder de dormitório e considerado um mago avançado para a sua idade, motivos de orgulho para ele e sua família.
Até o dia que ele perdeu seu cargo de líder.
Uma avalanche de problemas começam a desmoronar em cima de Riddle e, num momento de desespero, ele decide assinar um contrato com os três tritões de Octavinelle, afim de recuperar tudo que perdeu.
