Carlton Lassiter is Head Detective and a Witch on the Occult Department of the SBPD. A serial killer targeting witches and their familiars threatens to disturb the peace not only in Santa Barbara, but between him and faux Pyschic Shawn Spencer. This is an AU involving witches and familiars and other types of fantasy creatures. -

The condo is familiar though. There’s still that unstable step that his leg hates, and there’s that well cared for common space and waxed hallway floors that he hates the smell of, enough that he still remembers gagging in the mornings from it. He passes neighbors he recognizes, some of which seem to remember him albeit with much more concern on his face. He knows he looks awful right now, though he doesn’t really care. He passes the door to Nora’s place, wondering if she still thinks they’re awful people to be around after Wilson and him played gay chicken with each other, yet another charged part of their relationship that was as fleeting as his time in this very condo.
What if in season 7 when House relapses and Cuddy dumps him, he takes Wilson's offer to move back into the condo? This fic is a s7 fix-it of sorts rewrite, in which House moves back into the condo and heals form the breakup (and there will be no car crashing into Cuddy's fucking house)

Life should be worthless and fleeting and insignificant to him and it’s not. He’s forgotten what it’s like to be divine, and yet he’s never found a place to sit comfortably within mortality without it being a game. He’s learned that he’s been in love longer than his own existence, to someone that will likely never notice or feel it the same way. Someone who gives a lot more care to their roles, to the hierarchy of things, to the principle of it all. A fellow god who does his job a lot better these days than House ever could, who deserves better too and not just some washed out deity who can’t do anything right."
Episode 19 season 5 Locked In rewritten as if House is the God of Death and Wilson is the God of Life, playing mortal in the 21st century.

"House has read every paper on it from early publications in 100-year-old books, to recent things in Nature and other prestigious journals. It is understood that humans in love have a physical manifestation of that, though the “love organ” or whatever that is has never been found. The only time it is found is when it’s necrotic, infected, and dying from the flowers and plants taking root in there. It’s not in healthy individual lungs, so no one knows where it hides if it’s there at all. Secondly, not all unrequited love or a perception of unrequited love triggers Hanahaki. Psychiatric journals publish every day conflicting evidence on what the psychological trigger is. It’s really hard to say, and then there’s the groups of people who talk about destiny, fate, and soulmates and it gets a thousand times more convoluted.
A take on House MD in which Gregory House has had a chronic form of Hanahaki Disease for 18 years that is now going into relapse while he lives with Wilson in the Condo (set during season 6-ish).

Recipe for disaster, more like.

"Immortality is an interesting thing, a coveted thing. Mortals stand and pray and wish that they or a loved one could live forever. They don’t understand how lonely it is, Tommy certainly does. He can’t remember how long he’s been here, or even how many things he’s experienced. He usually categorizes things as The Time Before Exile, and The Now. The Now is not the same and it never will be, and he cradles emptiness as if it’s a precious sapphire carved in a golden ring. The Now is distrust, nightmares, and isolation. It’s not something to be sought after. Mortals are so stupid."
Tommyinnit is a god trying to make his way through escaping exile. Three diner patrons will teach him companionship again.
Or, a competitive farmer, a critical writer librarian, and a daredevil pilot walk into a small town diner owned by a god who’s divinity is forgotten and found family, friendship, and healing ensues.

Summary
His apartment is small in comparison to many. Though, it’s not small like his home on the SMP was. In comparison, it’s rather spacious. He has more than just one furnace with a bit of counter space, a bedroom, and a nice bathroom. There’s even enough space to scoot a small couch, TV, and a tiny dining table for two. Not that he’d have any guests, really. But it feels nice that he could. The rent’s cheap, considering it’s on the overcrowded end of Hypixel not near any good amenities. There’s also the issue with the thin walls with mold in the corners. Tommy thinks his lungs will survive long enough before he leaves.
He’s immortal anyway.
He wonders what that entails.
A sequel (really a prequel) to my fic I Rose From The Ashes detailing the time Tommyinnit left the Dream SMP until his creation of the Origins SMP prior to Wilbur's arrival. Can be read before the first fic but I recommend reading this after.
