“Oh, what the fuck!” Stan yelps. Honestly, this cannot get any weirder. Or grosser.
“Can you understand me now?” Ford asks, like he didn’t just carve a microchip out of his fucking head, electrocute it, and cram it back in, without using sane people things like painkillers or, Stan doesn’t know, antiseptic? Shouldn’t there have been antiseptic involved?
Or, in which Ford's interdimensional universal translator breaks, and he realizes just how much he's lost. Turns out thirty years of dimension-hopping aren't great for language retention.

Bilbo realizes, with a dawning embarrassment, that Thorin thinks Fíli might have had romantic intentions toward him.
“Absolutely nothing else!” Bilbo says before Fíli can answer. “By the Valar, Thorin—“ Something shifts in Thorin’s expression, but Bilbo’s too distracted by his outrage to put much note into it. “He’s barely out of childhood!”

They also stir their teacups for four and a half clockwise rotations, place their left elbow seven-eighths down the way of the arm rest, and sniffled pointedly, which roughly translates to: "This tea is over-steeped and bland, your furniture is both uncomfortable and horrifically tasteless, and you're a twit of a host."
And I think that's beautiful.

“Why?” House repeated. He stopped and turned toward the man, did a onceover from head to toe. He then said, “I’m at a mind-numbingly boring conference. In the past 48 hours, you’re the only person here that’s kept my attention for longer than 30 seconds.”
The man raised an impossibly bushy eyebrow at him. “Are you hitting on me?”
