Summary
There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Bookmarker's Notes
This fic is very rich in motifs, symbols and parallels: day and night, cold and warm, fear of Vecna, Ted Wheeler, the radio, the candlelight, the lightning, etc. The author clearly knows what it means to be gay in a homophobic environment. The yearning for the impossible and the desire for physical touch are top-notch. I like how this ends without the party knowing, but they both know they have each other to face what is to come.

Or, ‘He might as well have carved 'Mike' into his thigh. It would have been more honest.’

Summary
“I have a more important question,” Will says. “Um, why did the cleric have to be in love with the paladin?”
All eyes fall on Mike, the dungeon master.(Turns out, it actually was all just a longwinded campaign of Dungeons & Dragons. Naturally, the party has some concerns about Mike.)

Summary
In the summer of 1989, the Byers family moves to Montauk, cutting short Mike and Will's last summer together before college. Certain he'll never see his friend again, Will confesses his love on their last night together, rocking Mike's world entirely. As the tear-filled goodbyes draw to a close, however, Mike is suddenly offered the unexpected opportunity to travel with the Byers family and help them move.
They have five days out of state together to address Will's confession, learn to communicate, and maybe, just maybe, say a few things they should have said all along.
