Harris feels like he should take pity on his boyfriend. “Hey, hey, it’s okay. I had a crush on Hollander too.”
It’s close enough to the truth. Harris is not going to confess that in the depths of his crush, he wrote fanfiction about Shane. And he certainly is not going to elaborate on all the plot points from the rare heart condition requiring expensive care in the United States to being sold by his family to Shane Hollander to cover the debt.

Summary
A Rearrangement and reworking of The Long Game. Instead of skipping ahead the way the Long Game does a few summers, this tells various stories that would occur during that first year, second year, third year when Shane is still a Voyager and Ilya a Centaur. Troy comes in at a different time, as does Harris.
Timeline is roughly:Rip off the band-aid - immediately after Heated Rivalry, still at the first ever cottage getaway.
I Only threw this party for you - Ilya's first Centaur season. That very halloween, so roughly 4 months later from the cottage.
I got to hear it from your lips - covers *random times* throughout these years where Ilya is jealous of Shane getting attention by other gay men.
Can I get Shane's Number? - Ilya's 2nd Centaur season - Troy joins the Centaur mid-season. This is a Nov to end of January roughly timeline
Let's all meet Harris - Harris joins the Centaurs team beginning of March

Summary
So now they were heading to see Roz. Bood couldn’t lie and say he hadn’t pulled the A card for this hospital trip mostly to get to come and see Roz. No, not just Roz. Roz and his boyfriend. Roz and the honest-to-god motherfucking boyfriend that none of them had known that he’d had. Roz and the boyfriend he all but definitely moved to Ottawa for. Bood was over the fucking moon. There was no way in hell Rozanov was ever missing another barbecue.
A short sequel of sorts to 'Crashing' in which Bood and Dykstra make a trip to the hospital the day after Shane drives down to be with Ilya after the plane crash. Revelations, tenderness, and humour ensue.
